2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Offseason excitement coming!!!

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

I just box score the NBA and watch a few games per year so why would I be mad? If you can't see the NBA has been helping Lebron since he came to the league dog U are just simple minded. BC the NBA couldn't help Lebron enough to turn him into a scorer they convinced the other simple minded that great players would rather have assist than points. They even convinced the super simple minded that that she like so-called technical boxer over knockout boxers just BC Floyd has no punching power. Y'all wonder why the 1%ers sit in their offices and just laugh at us. When a player is great the NBA shouldn't have to convince people he's great. Any player can be great we'll decent when it comes to Lebron when they know they can do whatever on the court and never get shit called on them

Your arguing facts and stats to a guy who self admittedly doesn't even watch the games, yet he somehow knows what the refs are doing.. I guess he has the extensive box sheets where they list the amount of times the refs cheats. Thats like debating Shakespeare with a guy who admits to being illiterate..

I didn't watch a 2nd of this game but I would bet money LBJ got most of his points off of fast breaks and foul shouts. Why is it the Heat get so pumped to play these bum teams but like you said they took off against the few winning teams they played? When Miami lose I logged in just to see what excuse you're gonna come up with. LBJ had to fight so hard to get rebounds he didn't have energy to shoot the ball was classic. Miami gets bored against teams with good records so they save their energy for the playoffs with any team 500 and up classic. O I love the they need to get rid of Wade or Spo even if Wade had the better game. I can't forget the refs are trying to let the Bulls hurt LBJ and he's soft so it stopped him from scoring. If the Heat gets too bored they might end up with a 500 winning percentage and still getting the 2nd or 3rd playoff spot in the garbage East.

Words of advice that will help you in your life,
1- Please don't never, ever gamble not for one 2nd  that is unless you are willing to place money opposite of what you think...
2- don't ever use 2nd in place of second, that is unless you want to broadcast how ignorant you are, not only in basketball but in real life..

Your Welcome!

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

This is why I wasn't worried about the Pacers game, because it was more of the Heat not playing well in the 2nd half, than it was anything the Pacers was doing.. Likewise tonight the Heat are settling for jump shots during the 2nd half and not crashing the boards as aggressively, they almost look exhausted out there, once they get this corrected, like I suspect they should be ok... After all they had the same problem around this time, over the last three years..

Jazz-Heat Preview
STATS LLC

heat-vs-jazz.jpg

Before another showdown with the only team ahead of them in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat will try to avoid looking past a game against the worst in the West.

The Utah Jazz, though, have given the Heat some trouble in recent years and have improved since the addition of Trey Burke, who will get his first up-close look at LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on Monday night in Miami.

The Heat (17-6) have lost four of their past six matchups with Utah (6-20), and they've split their last six overall with Wade in-and-out of the lineup due to knee soreness. They'd surely like to put away this game early to possibly give him and James some extra rest before league-best Indiana visits Miami on Wednesday in another rematch of last season's East finals.

The Heat, who trail the Pacers by three games, lost 90-84 at Indiana last Tuesday. A three-day break followed, and they opened a five-game homestand Saturday with a 114-107 victory over Cleveland as James scored 25 and Wade had 24.

"As much rest as he can get, I think it helps," James said of Wade. "He's been great. He's been dealing with his knee, we all know that. It's not a secret. But when he's on the floor, he makes an impact."

So can Chris Bosh, though not all that frequently anymore. The extra rest may have benefited the All-Star center, whose 14.3 scoring average is his lowest since his 2003-04 rookie season. His 6.1 rebounds per game is the worst of his career, but Bosh posted his first double-double since Oct. 30 with 22 points and a season-best 12 rebounds Saturday.

"I wanted to be more consistent with my rebounding and be in the right spot at the right time," Bosh said.

He had only one rebound in Miami's last meeting with Utah, which had a 40-23 edge on the boards and won 104-97 on Jan. 14. The Jazz's top rebounders from that game -- Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap -- are no longer with the team, but their top scorer is -- Gordon Hayward had 22 points -- and he has an emerging new starting backcourt mate in Burke.

The reigning NCAA player of the year has played 14 games, starting the last 12, since missing the first few weeks of the season with a broken finger. The Jazz lost Burke's debut as a starter to fall to 1-14 but have since gone 5-6 as he's averaged 14.8 points and 5.6 assists.

"This group is just fighting to find out who we are, and we're learning every time we get out there," coach Tyrone Corbin said.

Burke totaled 19 assists and only one turnover in back-to-back road wins at Sacramento and Denver, then scored a team-high 20 in a 100-84 home loss to San Antonio on Saturday.

"Unfortunately they executed at a higher level," Burke said. "But we can't look back, we have to just try to learn from this game and get ready for a really good Miami team."

The Jazz, who are opening a five-game trip, have won three of five meetings since James joined the Heat even though he and Wade played in all of them. James has scored at least 30 in the last four, and his 30.5 career average versus the Jazz is his highest against any opponent.

Inkosi misses Heat practice with ankle pain
MIAMI (AP) -- LeBron James did not practice with the Miami Heat on Tuesday because of a sprained left ankle, leaving his availability for Wednesday night's matchup against the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Pacers in some doubt.

James got hurt during Monday's win over Utah. He was able to finish that game, though woke up with soreness on Tuesday, which he expected.

''I've had my fair share of ankle twists so I already knew how it was going to be today,''
James said. ''Very stiff, very sore, it'll be around the clock treatment with Mike (Mancias, his trainer) and we'll go from there.''

James said if the Heat were playing on Tuesday, he would not be in the lineup, ''for sure.'' It's not uncommon for him to heal from sprains quickly, however.

''I've had extreme to not so extreme,'' James said. ''We've been through this and we know how to attack it.''

James rolled the ankle inward while dribbling late in the third quarter against the Jazz. He re-laced his sneaker, which is his typical method of treating ankle turns in order to minimize the opportunity for fast swelling, but left the game shortly afterward and spent about seven minutes on the Heat bench.

Once he returned, James showed no ill effects, finishing off a 30-point, nine-rebound, nine-assist night.

''It's not the first time he's gone through it with that ankle,''
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. ''Lot of treatment, lot of rest, see how he feels.''

James is averaging 25.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists and has appeared in all 24 Heat games this season.

The Heat will enter Wednesday two games behind Indiana in the East standings, and lost in Indianapolis last week in the first of four meetings this regular-season against the rivals.

''It's a basketball game versus two good teams,''
Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. ''A lot of that goes on in the NBA. It's not our championship.''

Re: 2013-14 Miami Heat Official Thread: Road to 3-peat

I remember when the Heat-Lakers was an anticipated matchup but I don't think many people are looking forward to that Christmas game.

Not Laker fans at least... But one thing good for them, LeBron is such a humble player, that he isn't the type to lay it on Kobe, while he's in his decline.. But if it were the other way around :smh: Kobe would try to drop 90 on him..
