Arsenio Tells Kanye Get “The F*ck Outta Here” For Using Word “Slave”

I never thought the Farrakhan interview had anything to do with it..

Its not like he was the first to give Farrakhan network TV time....and it was also late night.

If those powers were going to be pissed off it would have been when Donahue gave Farrakhan 2 whole days at 4pm in the afternoon ,maximum exposure.

Right, it also happened months after the show went off air. If the powers that be want you off the air for something you did on air, they don't give you months to think about it, ask Bill Maher.

I was telling cats on this board about that same shit!

Arsenio was getting more ratings. Then any other talk show or late night show.He wanted more money and they said no! So he decide to let Farrakhan come on the show.Arsenio has and always be the safe nigga. He don't want anybody bringing any attention to blow up his set.

and Donahue also had Khlaid on his show..

and Donahue was killing them with the ratings and walked away and never came back.

I used to like his show about 2nd to Gil Noble for content

:yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

Peeps tend to use the "R" word first as well, in a few cases it's more about $$$ than it is about Black & White.

and theres a word for that. Exploitation. SOmeone may be taking advantage of you. Scottie Pippen made only a few million compared to the 10s of millions he shouldve made. Doesn't make him a slave, he was exploited.

This shit really is getting ridiculous.

The N word is why I can't watch the boondocks. I can't get past it.

i don't believe he just walked away from the show..

Me neither. His show was a hit and it wasn't like he had alot of projects going on right after he "left". So he left a successful job just to stay home and "kick it"?:hmm: He was feeling himself, said "fuck it" and interviewed Farrakhan, they got pissed and ended the show,he got humbled, begged for his show back and now he is in his place. :smh:

Is Kanye the biggest attention whore out there or what. Why even bother responding to this niggas rants and raves . Free publicity ass nigga

Nope. He's 100 percent correct. Don't equate being superficial and driven by consumerism (slave to cars) to "slavery". He compared himself to the character of 12 years as a slave. GTFOH. Regardless of whom Kanye believes is holding him back, it's not even comparable to slavery...i.e. people who had zero choice in the matter.

Enlightened & reminded.

I needed that reality check

my thing is bellieve it or not nobody was there to be calling arsenio a liar. if he said it was other shit then thats the truth.

Kayanation and others won't be pleased. Yeezus Christ is doin' what he doin' and acting out for da empowerment of da black community. Lord Yeezus is bein' crucified in da media for our sins.

Kanye does not even realize he is a fool what's the worst thing.its like someone told him the drive from Chicago to California and next thing you know this idiot is in Florida talking about it's on the way.he been of course for a minuteand doesn't even have the common sense stop and ask for directions. He knows where to go in his mind and he doesn't even know that he is lost or for how long. his entire acts has jumped the shark like Fonzie.time to put it to bed because right now he is that yapping poodle that barks and barks and won't shut up. if it wasn't for the dude in the cubicle right next door I wouldn't hear anything he does

Kanye ain't no slave. HE a spoiled child. Ain't no struggle there. He thinks he Walt Disney. Even tried to compare himself to Arsenio and Arsenio knocked that shit out of there. That has to hurt.

Arsenio was the first black talk show host to put Farrakhan on his show. He had tried to get on other black shows. The white talk show host would have him on because there would be an audience opposite him. As opposed to being on a black talk show where there would be an audience in favor of him. So Arsenio broke that barrier.
And I can understand where Kanye is coming from on a lot of that stuff. And what is wrong with calling the shots like you see then. I have always said Elijah Muhammad is the best I have seen yet. It is one thing for athletes to open up a restaurant or something. But to separate away from white programming and white poisoning is a real step away from a world of Satan and finally making steps out of darkness into the light and back to the garden of Eden.

Elijah had schools, hospitals, a bank, houses and apartments that he rented out to low income black people, etc. If you are not trying to build a nation. Then you must be trying to crawl back on the plantation.

They are destroying blackness and being looked at with dignity while doing it. We go to the enemy of our ancestors for jobs, education, food, housing, religion, law, etc. And you are not trying to separate and do this for yourself. And you know the white race is programmed to destroy the black race. At least make an attempt to separate.

It is good Arsenio is out of the Ghetto. But he is still a part of a corrupt and suicidal system. He might not know it, but he is in bed with that system now. I am struggling and I would like to make it. But right now while I am struggling, I am breaking the curses and spells of poverty. I believe that when I come up, every body will start coming up. Because I will have broken the spells and curses of poverty.

Success so far in the world for blacks, has been the ability to be a carbon copy of whites. They make it where you have to be a carbon copy of a white just to survive. Prison and homelessness is waiting on the rejected. So are mental institutions and beatings and guns.

In 2013 going on 2014 we are dressed up,educated, puffed up slaves.

Peace,

It seems like Arsenio could have spared the righteous indignation a little bit. Kanye was actually trying to support him in his own way.

Yea but it had to be said. I've been hearing that about Arsenio for nearly 20 years. And Kanye puts that shit out on a platform like Breakfast Club? I feel Arsenio. And I can appreciate him not being afraid to say it.

Since your first sentence is wrong can I call bullshit on your whole premise....

Gil Noble had Farrakhan on his show..in fact he is one of the few that interviewed both Farrakhan and Malcolm.

Most of you cats pontificating ain't even old enough to have watched arsenio first show

Arsenio sounds like he's trying to please his masters this time lmao. Hall knows damn well the context of slaves used now is different from slavery back then. We are all slaves to something, sports, cars, money, relationships etc

I get thr context of using the word slave in the way Kanye did. But Arsenio is correct. One can't be a slave when they have a choice and options.

I see what he is saying but he is attaching the word soley to wback slavery. If I say Iam a slave to my job or industry slave iI can't see a connection.

Because he misunderstands what a slave is.......

bullsheit. being in love with material items, etc has SHEIT to do with what slavery was or even what the word means. fuk your 'a new day and era' bs explanation:smh:

Please don't pay any attention to fag-ass house Negros like Arsenio.

Master, probably made abundantly clear about his uppity behavior, before. Just be your effeminate self and and bark when I tell you too and we will be alright.

Okay B-O-Y (yte pats Arsenio on his head).

-When Louis Farrakhan said “I would like to talk about Malcolm X’s death,” as a Black talk show host I have to take that to the community. Did that interview destroy some of the love people had for me? Maybe. But I’m just the messenger.

Yea I always thought this was it...just by listening to the Hall opening remarks toward Louis

 I don't see how one had anything to do with the other here...? Nobody's saying that either, so...

Same here.

You can't be a slave to your job because you have the option to quit and get another. It might not be the same. You might have to take less money or you could make more money. But it's not the same as slavery.
Arsenio made a well thought out argument against using that word and he's right.
Prince was wrong too so hopefully Ye matures like Prince did.
