Breaking Bad *series finale 9/29/2013

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

I was always curious about this .. Walt had made and lost close to 100 million

How come he never had any "goons" of his own ? Mike obviously doesn't count.. as their was no respect from mike and that was gus's goon..

The fact that we're even assuming that he's going after the nazis by himself.. :smh:

how could he get goons? he'd have to have some connections, or some auditions or put out an add or something. walt was always alone in this only Jessee was his backup can't just acquire goons like that lol

I don't think walt ever had goons of his own because he was never really the top guy.

Like for instance, when he was working under gus, who was the top guy in the time, gus had goons, so gus' goons could be used to take care of any of walt's problems since walt was a vital part of gus' operation at the time.

By the time walt was in a position to become the guy (killing gus), who was getting out the game.

What about Todd? Remember he was the first cook after Walter left.

And todd top'd out at 74%.

Your point was that someone after walt was producing the blue and nobody did. Color be damned.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

why would walter change his identity but stay in the US? that shit seems retarded that he would stay in the USA...

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Jesse is gonna cook up whatever that shit was that Walt cooked up in season one that looks like meth but explodes. You mark my words. Jesse is gonna blow them muthafuckas up for killing his girl.

As for Walt. Havent figured out his ending yet.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Knew Jesse wouldn't escape. He's too dumb to look out for cameras and how was he going to get over the barbed wire?

And as a result he made that kid an orphan so how does he feel about himself now? Can't blame Mr. White this time now can he?

Flynn is the biggest piece of shit child in television history.

I never understood how they ever let him talk back to them. He had the balls to say all of that shit and saying why hasn't he died?

Motherfucker how come YOU haven't died yet..

Please let him die in the crossfire somehow.

Those people trying to play Walt out lit a fuse.

I'm glad he got a sense of purpose, even if it is destruction.

That whole community should be destroyed.

Flynn should die, Skylar should die. Jessee shouldn't die they should keep him caged and have him live out the rest of his life in that pit alone with his thoughts and the memories of his chick getting clapped.

Todd I don't like him. He's a simp. I don't care if he lives or dies.

Hopefully the finale is satisfying. and not just some shit they put together.

LGB, come on man, Flyn is an innocent kid here.

Think about it, Flynn's character is hilarious because he doesn't ever know WTF is going on.

He thought his dad was a gambler, thought he made money for him on his bullshit website,
Thinks his dad is a drug dealer that forced his "innocent mother" who didn't get Big Willy with the money,
and that he killed his uncle Hank, because he's a bad man.

He doesn't know any of the facts, just the lies his mother and Walt told him.

You better not have got an advanced copy of the script ...

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

why would walter change his identity but stay in the US? that shit seems retarded that he would stay in the USA...

he doesn't have the contacts to produce that level of counterfeit documents?

aside from that, where's he going with a 55 gallon drum full of cash?

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

How come he never had any "goons" of his own ?

c'mon.

walt likes things tidy. manpower means more shares to divide and more exposure.

aside from that, walt wouldn't have the vaguest ideas of how to recruit or retain "goons"

.

I know and understand that .. just after all this time.. all the different people he met

as bright as Walt is.. no permanent "hired gun" you have to have protection from the wolves.. long before he got rid of gus.. he knew him and gus had issues..He's a planner

Walt was going to make 15 million a year working for gus... well walt had 80 million .. doing it himself... he did have a partner in mike in the beginning to handle goon work ,but after that ?

The nazis ? who were never on his team... he needed guns.. on his team.. who were getting paid.. and who would find it in their interest to protect the boss

stealing 69 million has never been so easy in history...

When walt needed to get an illegal gun.. Saul... got that handled.. ,but as sleazy as saul is he doesn't know any hitters ? Shit he knew a guy who can make you "disappear" for money.. a criminal lawyer like that.. never defended killers ? or knew some walt could hire who're legit..

This is the usa.. and modern times too ... As social as jessie was.. and while their relationship is shit now.. for most of the series it wasn't Jessie who knows everyone.. would either know a killer or know someone who knows someone...and the connection would have already been made

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

where would jesse learn how to manufacture mercury fulminate?

or obtain the ingredients?

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Todd continued to use the same recipe that Walter White taught him, he just isn't a good cook. So yes, he was producing a weaker version of the same product.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

now that we know more about todd and his criminal family, does anyone else find it inconsistent that mike would've agreed to allow those sort of bottom feeders into the operation?

mike claimed to have vetted todd and checked out his family connections, so...

all i know is, if i didn't know anything i wouldn't automatically believe the worst of my father who provided and been there for me who is sick..regardless.

skylar didn't even want him to have the damn car :smh:

he lost his innocence rights when he started talking back and talking about walt needing to die and him calling the police on walt after seeing his mother attack his father with a knife and cut him

he's a dunce.

they just told you he was in jail and he was a drug dealer you get home and he's there and you don't go... hold up why the fuck yall lie to me?

and nobody even let walt speak he's been trying to say he tried to save hanks life for the past 2 episodes but nobody is trying to hear it they just said oh he killed him which isn't the truth he actually gave up $69 million dollars trying to save hank punk ass life

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

they have NEVER really explained what made Walt leave Grey Matter ever...
They have given more than enough info for us to reasonably deduce why he left the company.

I really don't like what they have done with Walt Jr. dont get me wrong it makes SENSE in context and with the character.
Agreed. It just doesnt jive with the kid who idolized his dad and always found a way to excuse his deplorable behavior and ways while always taking his side over his mom. Certainly when we see this all come to a head immediately after his mom pulls a knife on and slices his beloved dad. Not plausible at all.

I have throughout enjoyed watching Jessie suffer...
Likewise. I cant recall disliking a television character as much as i dislike Jessie. Ive been ready for him to die since season one. I am enjoying watching him suffer.

i hope it doesn't end with jessie killing walt on some self righteous bullshit
It almost has to though.

Jesse is gonna cook up whatever that shit was that Walt cooked up in season one that looks like meth but explodes. You mark my words. Jesse is gonna blow them muthafuckas up for killing his girl.
Interesting take. Though i think Jessie is too stupid to pull it off (but who knows what they will script with this writing).

exposure ? ... making 80 million just for yourself not counting the others... makes one a top drug lord.... name drug lords without hitters ?

Walt might might not like giving up cuts ,but he will if necessary.. he knew he needed mike for a time.. and brought him in.. the cut with mike didn't bother walt.. it was mike taking cuts from walt for his issues with the guys in prison

Walt Can kill people when necessary with ease... negotiate by himself in deserts.. with known killers ie gus. who deals with Mexican cartels and used a box cutter infront of him to kill someone . and the Arizona crew who could have killed him if they wanted ,but he got them on as partners to replace mike share..

Smart enough to build a business to more than 80 million.. which was just his cut of course ,but can't retain a goon or ask around to get some protection in such a violent industry ? come on

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

shouldn't todd have it down by now? i mean he's cooked how many with jessee? he wasn't taking notes? there is an exact science to this.. so how or why do they still need jessee?

Its very believable imo. The vetting process was one to insure the Todd wasnt likely to turn or snitch. His criminal ties supported that conclusion. Mike said as much upon discovering Todds connections. I have no problem with that.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

exposure ? ... making 80 million just for yourself not counting the others... makes one a top drug lord..

as i've expressed before. walt is a cook, nothing more.

walt's not a drug lord. he doesn't have the criminal or traditional acumen.

educated? certainly. talented chemist? yes. calculating? of course.

drug lord? business man? no. not by a long shot.

But remember, Marie and his mother were telling him that Walt was being arrested and booked as they were speaking.
When they came home and saw him at the house, everyone was like
"Uhh, how did you get away? We're Hank?"

AFter that it was chaos, no one was thinking are talking straight
so Flynn probably didn't know WTF is going on.
Also, remember the phone call Walt made to Skylar where he
"confessed" to killing Hank and being this evil mastermind enslaving Skylar?

They ran with that to protect Skylar and the family and put it all on Walt.

That's the story Flynn is being given.
Because of that, that's why he's not trying to hear a word Walt has to say.
You'd have to strap him down and explain everything to him.
And he still probably would hate Walt because Hank is dead.

He's no longer just a "cook" and he doesn't have the criminal acuemen ? he's been killing people for a long time without getting caught.... made more money 80 million for himself as the brains behind an illegal Drug organization

drug lord ? yes... he moves massive amounts of drugs.. in a whole region..

drug lord
noun
the head of an organization or network involved in illegal drug trafficking.

Orders the killing of 9 people to protect his business investment

got rid of another drug lord in gus fring.. who was so connected.. that probably wasn't even his real name... as they couldn't find nothing on a gustavo fring

not a business man ? so he just negotiates with other drug people.. to wholesale his product and make millions .. even dealing with a witch to get his product in another country at one point

Tell the Dea someone in real life who did all of what walt did.. through this series.. is not a businessman or drug lord.. tell me they don't laugh in your face

if they had a forbes list for people involved in drugs walts Organization makes it..

Just because we say something isn't so.. doesn't make it so:yes:

you falsely attribute actions to walt. not only is walt incapable of performing those acts himself, walt could not figure out how to do it with 10 (or 100) tries.

the man can't even figure out how to get money to his family.

he phoned his son from a landline.

he was going to use the postal service to send $100K.

you've allowed your admiration for a television show to cloud your thoughts.

for example:

drug lord ? yes... he moves massive amounts of drugs.. in a whole region..

false.

walt manufactured a staggering amount of methamphetamine.

jesse distributed.

gustavo distributed.

lydia distributed.

declan distributed.

walt's just a cook. keep things in perspective.

edit: also, why would i ever laugh at myself?

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

another example?

skylar laundered the proceeds. not walt.

walt's idea? bury $80M in the ground.

carry $11M in a 55 gallon drum cross country.

that's your understanding of acumen?

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

the rednecks were the hired goons. he knew only the other meth dealer who got popped. maybe his european drug guys.

Walt couldn't cook and run a carwash ,but yes skylers book keeping came into play

 That was fucked up. ... and then to bury all the barrels together :smh:

Come on though.. that was writing to set up scenes.. walt all of a sudden isn't smart enough to figure out a way to get something done regarding the money ... you yourself said walt is too tidy.. so in your experience would someone with walts brains and personality bury 80 million in one place ? doubtful right ? just for tv ? ofcourse ?

How would you move the 11 million across country in that situation ? being wanted and all ?

walt all of a sudden isn't smart enough to figure out a way to get something done regarding the money

all of a sudden?

walt is an educated individual who is also a talented chemist.

it's illogical to suggest that expertise in chemistry MUST NECESSARILY translate into "smart" for other arenas. and that's not an insult to the character of walt, it's merely pointing out that walt (nor the heisenberg alter ego) has no aptitude for the other criminal aspects of the enterprise.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Either Walt is going to take out the Neo Nazis's or Jesse is going to blow that factory up ending his life and the neo nazi's

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

I think Walt is going to get off via the corporate connection. The DEA would see it more of the big fish they need by grabbing the Nazis, saving Jessie from his hell hole. Walt will end up in Withness protection with his family.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

why is saul going to nebraska?

He's scared. He was known as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman's lawyer. Two DEA agents are thought dead and missing, Saul probably felt the heat was on him, plus, since Huel went missing (in Saul's mind) he is probably paranoid that he will be targeted by the Feds.
