Breaking Bad *series finale 9/29/2013

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

was anyone else tremendously disappointed with walt's decision to walk around with a revolver in an environment of vaporized gasoline?

:smh:

someone with walt's credentials certainly would've known better than that.

even hank would've known drawing his pistol in that environment would be a huge mistake.

lazy.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

well i'll be damned. Hank said everything I said about how walt feels about Jessee almost word for word.

Marie...blah kill her already.

Skylar...no change.

Hank... scumbag lol Jessee thought he had a friend for a minute. No hank only cares about his career and being the "smartest" in the room.

We'll see what he means by another job, doubt its a hit, that's too obvious.

Paranoia by Jessee actually saved Walt... he was ready to talk it all out and it would have been on tape.

Love how soon as he picked Jessee up after the botched job, hank let them true colors shine right through

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Hank drew his pistol in that same environment. While jessie had the lit lighter.

Youre being far too technical bro. One half full 5gal canister of gas in a open space carpeted room wont make a combustible air environment.

Hank worked for the DEA. Its a DEA mug.

walt smelled it instantly upon entering the residence.

it was puddled in a saturated carpet (down to the base boards).

there was plenty left in that container (note the angle walt used when pouring on his clothes in the backyard and again in the front seat of the vehicle).

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

the other gripe i had was that AFTER ALL HE HAD BEEN THROUGH, jesse didn't take a minute to have anyone negotiate immunity (for multiple conspiracy counts and RICO prosecution) before going on record.

c'mon

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

slow ep for the halfway point in a final season...I'm ready to see jesse + marie dead...her + hank are all about winning...muthafuckas can't stand that walt got over on them

check this video. note 3 things. the size of the container being used, it's outdoors (as opposed to a closed house), the vapors ignite.

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

So I just blasted through the entire series in about two weeks, still a couple episodes behind though. I guess I can answer this question myself but fuck reading thru 60 pages b, so I'll ask here: does anyone else hate Marie asmuch as I do? I mean I see there's some hate for skyler going around on the internet but I think her sister is 10 times worse and I haven't seen anyone say shit about her. I haven't really scratched the surface yet to be honest....

That wasnt spontaneous cran. The idiot layed a gas trail before the camera starts and bends over and lights it with a match. In order for a spark from Walts gun to ignite the air there would have probably had to have been a gas leak from pipe or stove work. You're a critical dude so i guess its worth a stretch to note it but there is so much more blatantly ridiculous shit i have issue with that the carpet saturated with gas doesnt even register.

it's easy to dismiss marie because the writers created her for the sole purpose of providing a sounding board for hank and skyler. without marie, the characters would have no way to put so many of their thoughts into words for the audience.

as such, she's not worthy of hate. she's just s device, a construct.

a fictional SAC schrader and a real world myself have worked enough meth labs to see plenty of cooks turn into crispy critters working with ether. ether is more dangerous than gasoline (with respect to flammable vapor) but it's the same issue.

highly flammable heavier-than-air gas sinks to the ground, waiting for an ignition source.

the darwin candidate in the youtube did lay a trail, but you can see the vapors that ignited around the wood pile.

same shit again below. you can see the vapors ignite before the liquid

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

breaking bad is cutting edge from a production standpoint too:

AMC’s hit TV show Breaking Bad is garnering critical acclaim in its final season—including an Emmy Award nomination—and its produced using wireless microphone technology from Rio Rancho, NM-based Lectrosonics.

Darryl L. Frank, CAS is the show’s Location Sound Mixer. With 30+ years’ experience under his belt, Frank has an impressive track record ranging from TV and film to documentaries and reality shows. In addition to Breaking Bad, his credits include the ABC TV series Scoundrels as well as the 2013 film The Last Stand, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. With credits like these, Frank obviously knows how to capture sound in the field. He discussed his reasons for using Lectrosonics equipment, which includes SMa and SM Super-miniature beltpack transmitters, LMa beltpack transmitters, UCR411a compact receivers, and SRb Dual-Channel Slot Mount ENG Receivers—all of which employ Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid Wireless technology.

“I’ve been using Lectrosonics equipment for a good 20 years,” said Frank. “During this time, I’ve used a huge amount of their equipment because it delivers the audio performance, the flexibility, and the reliability I need to get the job done. With Breaking Bad, I’m working primarily with the SMa and SM transmitters—of which I have seventeen—as well as my seventeen UCR411a receivers. I recently added four SRb slot mount receivers and they, like all the gear, have been terrific. For IFB, I use the company’s T4 IFB transmitters and R1a receivers. My equipment setup also includes the SNA600 dipole antennas, the ALP-500 shark fin antennas, and the LectroRM remote app for the iPhone.”

Breaking Bad is a totally RF show,” Frank continued. “There are no cabled mics used at all. The New Mexico desert is a pretty inhospitable environment for cables, so the Lectrosonics equipment does it all. I love the audio quality and the reliability of the gear is unbeatable. I never worry about the equipment because it consistently delivers for me. It’s built like a tank.”

When queried about those key attributes that have endeared him to Lectrosonics equipment, Frank responded by commenting on the gear’s flexibility. “What I love most about the Lectrosonics equipment is its ability to adapt to the changing requirements of the shoot. We frequently have to go from a cart setup to a bag, to an ENG setup, to an over-the-shoulder setup. Having the flexibility to make these types of adjustments quickly makes my job that much easier. It’s very easy to change modes, set open RF frequencies, or go from IFB to a transmitter to a receiver. The gear is very adaptable to the type of function the shoot requires. Combined with exceptional range and dropout-free performance, Lectrosonics equipment, simply put, inspires confidence.”

Re: Breaking Bad *series finale 8/11/13

Man somebody is going to die this episode. Neither group realizes how serious the other is to get what they want.
