ben really didnt lose in the armbar,
the fight was over with those vicious kicks to the body.
damn ben looked outmatched, he looked good catching that cartwheel, had him on the ground and couldnt do anything I bet because his ribs were aching..

Props to Pettis ... that was impressive. First few minutes things weren't going his way ... subs Ben in 4.5 mins. Last fight in Dec. 2010 was a 25-min war.
3rd match from these guys will be fun ... even though Pettis has won both thus far.

Anybody that puts their gold chain on right after the fight and before his title belt is alright with me. I'm so glad Henderson lost I don't know what to do. He's top notch..and good role model...and I can't think of anything bad to say about him...so I guess I'm hating on that fuckboi for no reason.

Bendo whole face and demeanor changed
after getting hit those 4 times to the body
Looking at the replay, Pettis really did work on his
Jiu Jitsu because that armbar was straight textbook.
How ironic for Smooth to come into the ring with
his black belt gi on and his inability of defending
the armbar being in Pettis guard

Props to both cats. They were great in the WEC, and have been great in the UFC since 2011. Only hiccup was the 3-round loss to Guida by Pettis. Other than that ... each only has 1 loss in the UFC at present.

No doubt about Pettis working on his JJ. He threw that armbar on in 1 second....very impressive.
That was a weird delayed reaction due to the verbal tap. I thought the round was over for a second. Then the crowd cheered and I knew Benson must have verbally taped.

To me it's only impressive if the guy from the lower weight class wins, so I don't like the idea of superfights, unless there's a case where I want one guy to get his ass whipped. What would be so impressive about Showtime beating Aldo when he just blazed through the 155 champ? That's the point of the pound for pound list. Shit, if Aldo can beat Showtime that makes that whole division look weak.

This was a better loss than Silva's. Pettis was the better fighter tonight and won with excellent technique. Silva shit the bed going full retard.

Dude I still get mad about that night. I was unable to watch MMA for a good month. I stopped recording anything UFC. If he had lost to Weidman, it was whatver. But to beat himself

I agree with you, but I felt that, despite what Rogan was screaming, Pettis was the same fighter he was during their last match, whereas Henderson clearly has improved a lot since then. So therefore I was pretty sure Henderson would win this. Henderson losing after the Silva loss (which was really him beating himself) is really disheartening for me.

Word. I think Pettis lives in Henderson's head though... like Tarver camped out in RJJ's head. Sometimes a fighter can beat everyone, but the one dude who's got his number. Pettis will not have a the streak as champ that Henderson did. In fact, I don't see Pettis beating Gilbert Melendez, but what do I know... I was rooting for Henderson in this fight. My Pettis predictions might just be wishful thinking.
