This has nothing to do with a way to live life. I don't trust cops and I would never blindly trust a cop's word on anything. But everyone does not have my prior experiences with them. If you are trying to make people question whether the kid needed to be killed or not, you do not put the worse-looking person in town up to plead his case because IT DOES NOT WORK!!!
