This has been the thing that has been taking the board down for a minute. The "Ock-ing", the blatant running of females away, members calling others degrading Black terms like Coon and others.
Man, I feel you on this one.
I remember, and this is the story I use when telling people about this board without saying the board's name of course:
Maybe somewhere between 2001-2003, a member posted about his baby mama taking his daughter and leaving the state. He was tripping and didn't know what to do. He needed help in a bad way. He said he came home from work one day and she was gone and all her stuff and the baby's stuff, too.
Some people clowned as they do, but one member said, "Listen to me, follow what I say word for word. Do not deviate. If she calls don't ask her where she is, don't beg her to come back, don't yell, don't threaten. Be so calm it pissed YOU off. Ask her if she or the baby need anything, money, whatever, and then calmly get off of the phone. Get a lawyer...."
I don't remember exactly what dude said, but it was from experience because his baby mother did the same to him and he said he has full custody now.
Fast forward to 8 - 10 months later and the dude that came on for advice was saying that he was granted full custody of his daughter and thanked the board, particularly that member, for their help.
THAT is what the board used to be about. Now, it's like Ali in his last few fights. We hope it can return to greatness, but can it really? It's like MTV with music videos sometimes, you don't even see porn on the first two pages.
