This has been my approach my entire life, ether this or deal with them.... But as my conciseness grew and my definition of self grew, myself does not no longer include only my ego, or me, or my peeps, now it includes the young black youth who are striving for excellence and our future, it includes all the black mothers and women who work hard for their children and families sacrificing for their future, it also includes the hard working black man struggling to make that money and put that food on the table...
So avoiding them may be a good option when it comes down to me alone, my self is getting killed by these fuckers every single day... And until we all connect on this level, we will remain victims in of genocide.

It seem like there is a clear almost obvious correlation between all this "reppin shit" and cultural identity and self esteem. No "knowledge of self" has the cats clinging on to streets, hoods and blocks for self esteem and "identify". I cats had some kind of "lifeline" via traceable linage to various cultural & spritual systems of africa or even something as simple as a family name linking them to africa they'd be less likely to rep such frivolous things as american, streets and hoods.
