Another 50 win season for the Nuggets. 4th seed and will be whooping Miami's ass on NOV 17th. That is all.

Agent Mark Bartelstein confirmed Ronny Turiaf will sign 1-year, minimum deal with the Clippers. “He’s signing it tonight,’’ Bartelstein said

Celts open in Miami on Oct. 30, visit Brooklyn for Christmas

Jason Terry, asked by the NBA TV crew tonight to look ahead to the Celtics’ season opener in Miami on Oct. 30, immediately went for the matchup everyone is already dissecting.

“Must see TV - it will be me against Ray (Allen),” the Celtics guard said of the player he is replacing. “The other guys can sit down. It will be a 3-point shooting contest.”

Just as LeBron James had to suffer through the Celtics’ 2008 ring ceremony - which he spent in the visitors locker room with the rest of his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates - the Celtics will be on hand for the Heat’s ring ceremony that night.

The NBA schedule, released on NBA-TV tonight in all of its game show splendor, also has the Celtics spending another Christmas in New York - but this time against the Brooklyn Nets in a noon-time game.

Allen will make his much-anticipated return to the Garden in a Heat uniform on Jan. 27.

Shaquille O’Neal, asked tonight about that moment, said he thought the Garden crowd would give his former Cs teammate “a standing ovation, because he was a big part of the Big 3. But it will be very emotional for him.”

Terry will make his return to his own former team, Dallas, on March 22.

“The Jet will be on the runway flying high in Boston,” said Terry. “But he can’t wait to go back to Dallas.”

Former Mavericks guard Jason Terry admits he was "angry" the Mavericks didn't make him an offer to him in free agency. Terry made the admission on NBATV's 2012-2013 half-hour special which revealed the upcoming NBA schedule Thursday night.

"Once that anger subsided, the first call I got was from (Celtics head coach) Doc Rivers" Terry told the NBATV crew.

Terry said he wanted to go to a contender and says he thinks he's the piece that can catapult Boston back to the Finals and "win it all."

When asked about his return to Dallas as a member of the Celtics when Boston visits the American Airlines Center, he said "the Jet will be on the frunway but can't I wait to come back to Dallas."

Neither can we.

Remember that theory that getting Jeremy Lin would get the Rockets more national broadcasts? Yeah, they got two...just like last year.

Schedule Released, Rockets Get Christmas Day Game, Little Else

Remember that theory that getting Jeremy Lin would get the Rockets more national broadcasts? Yeah, they got two...just like last year. That is, unless you count NBA TV (I don't) as a national game. If so, then they got six, including Lin's return to Madison Square Garden.

The games above will be as follows:

December 17th at Knicks (NBA TV)
December 25th at Bulls (ESPN)
January 23rd vs Nuggets (NBA TV)
February 13th at Clippers (NBA TV)
March 8th at Warriors (ESPN)
March 15th vs Timberwolves (NBA TV)

Honestly, if you thought that this Rockets team was going to be thrust into the media spotlight with national attention because of the addition of Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik, you might be wearing ketchup and mustard shaded glasses. Sure, they could turn out to be an exciting team to watch, but make no mistake that it would be a rebuilding team and that usually doesn't equal ratings.

On the plus side, I can't remember the last time the Rockets got a Christmas Day game. The Texans on for Thanksgiving and the Rockets on for Christmas will certainly liven up the spirits in Houston.

Some other key games:

October 31st at Pistons (opening night)
November 3rd vs Trailblazers (home opener)
March 9th at Suns (to face Dragic and Scola)

Great for the league, folks was so passionate about dude losing and calling him anti-clutch, prince james and so on....they tuned into the NBA at slightly higher rate.

Would think 12-13 would be epic with the Knicks and Nets, Lakers adding Nash...Boston reloading...the Heat doing what they did and etc....

With summer league over, the Heat now will turn their attention to their two final roster spots. With the Heat having big men Ronny Turiaf, Juwan Howard and Eddy Curry become free agents (and signing Rashard Lewis), another big man is needed. Turiaf or Howard remain candidates to re-sign. Free agent Darko Milicic is being looked at.

If Jacque Vaughn is named Orlando coach, he would become the fifth active NBA coach to coach a team he once played for. The other four currently in place with that distinction: Philadelphia's Doug Collins, Utah's Tyrone Corbin, Milwaukee's Scott Skiles, New York's Mike Woodson.

Aye McGee if this happens who the fuck u gonna root for then.. I mean the bulls suck already and if the Knicks are bad ur going to have an even longer winter than I would

New Orleans Hornets Acquire Robin Lopez, Hakim Warrick in Trade: Fan Reaction

The New Orleans Hornets have blown up their roster like the Grand Palace Hotel. One day after singing first-round draft picks Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers, the Hornets addressed their deficiency at center. In a three-team trade, New Orleans sent Jerome Dyson and Brad Miller to the Minnesota Timberwolves and acquired Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick from the Phoenix Suns. The Timberwolves sent Wesley Johnson and a first-round pick to the Suns.

Jerome Dyson

Before I get into what Robin Lopez and Hakim Warrick bring to New Orleans, I'd be remiss if I didn't wish Jerome Dyson well with the Timberwolves. Dyson was my favorite D-League call up from the 2011-12 Hornets season. A fearless point guard, Dyson was outstanding on dribble penetration and played terrific defense for New Orleans.

Brian Roberts

What the departure of Dyson tells me is that Brian Roberts may be the Hornets' fifth guard this year. Roberts played better than Xavier Henry and Jerome Dyson in New Orleans' Summer League. Unlike Dyson and Henry, Roberts can both run the Hornets' offense at point guard and shoot well enough to play shooting guard.

Robin Lopez

I had heard rumors of New Orleans trading for Robin Lopez for several days. With no pure center and little talent available in free agency, I knew the Hornets would have to execute a trade to get help under the basket. Lopez is the twin brother of Brooklyn Nets C Brook Lopez but hasn't put up numbers like his brother so far in the NBA.

However, Robin Lopez figures to start in New Orleans and get more playing time than he has ever received in the NBA. In four seasons with the Suns, Lopez never averaged more than 20 minutes per game. With the Hornets, Robin Lopez should eclipse his previous NBA highs of 8.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Although not a pure center, I expect Jason Smith to play a lot at that position. Of course, Anthony Davis can also play center and could move to that position if Robin Lopez gets in foul trouble or gets injured. Robin Lopez is only 24 years old, so even though he's a veteran, he has room to grow on the young Hornets squad in New Orleans.

Hakim Warrick

I'm not sure where Hakim Warrick fits into the Hornets' plans. Warrick is a forward and New Orleans is loaded at that position. However, Warrick is 30 years old and could really help the young Hornets in the locker room. The trade for Warrick doesn't help Darius Miller's chances of making the Hornets roster after a tough Summer League for New Orleans.

Patrick Michael was born in New Orleans and currently resides in the Big Easy. A loyal New Orleans NBA fan, Patrick was a diehard New Orleans Jazz fan and now cheers for the Hornets. Patrick was in attendance the night the Hornets were one win away from the Western Conference Finals. Follow Patrick Michael on Twitter at patmichael84.

idk what to make off the robin lopez signing? I thought Anthony Davis was going to play center for them.

He could in stetches but he is a natural PF. Plus he is just a year out of high school about to go up against grown men. He still has to get stronger. That is why Lopez was a good idea. Davis can then play help defender with his quickness.
