Game Of Thrones season 2: The night is dark and full of terror................

Man, I was like damn, did the horse have to shit all in front of the camera though?

The horse shitting was crazy but I thought it was brillant. That scene says a lot. Basically, the scene shows Tywin saying "I'm back bitches". I'm back to running ish now and to prove it....I'm going to let my white horse take a big, steaming, shit in this throne room, and I dares any of you to look side ways at it.

I

When is somebody going to kill that asswipe of a fucking king? I was hoping to see that shit last night.

And when the hell is the dragon queen going to get naked again?

I did like how they showed her walk away from everything she wanted from the throne to her dead husband to get those dragons back.

Gwendoline Christie. Standing at 6’3”, plays Brienne.

cant wait to see how the tyrell/lanister relationship blooms or

erodes in season 3. with all of its implications!

-robbie better drop some seeds off in his new queen!

So, does Tyrion ever bounce back? Like, get power again? If I was him, I think I would have booked with my bish

Very little of it..

Tyrion was only the "acting Hand",until Tywin got to Kings Landing...

So, the star of season 1, Ned Stark got beheaded at the end and the star of season 2 got de nutted at the end of the season. This series doesn't follow any of the traditions of movies or TV. We can usually count on the hero (protagonist) to prevail in the end. Looks like next year it's Dany & the dragons, Jon Snow or Robb. Arya better get going cause that punk assed Joffrey stays winning.

This series is A LOT different from your typical hero vs villain dynamic.

The bad guys win a lot and pivotal characters you grow attached too die off. That is partly why IMO so many have gravitated to the show and books.

Ok, so let me get this straight. Xaro Xhoan Daxos (Brother from Qarth) was always full of shit. Judging by the emptiness of his vault, he never had any wealth? Was he just telling everyone he was the richest man in Qarth?

If Daxos didn't have any wealth, how could he interact with the elite of Qarth? He was part of "The 13" that ruled Qarth. How could he be part of that ruling council, and claim to be a powerful merchant prince, without any wealth? Maybe he was running game not just on Daenerys, but on the entire city of Qarth? Can someone please explain?

Ned isnt even the main character of the story...

basically

Xaro Xhoan Daxos had more game than 95% of the people on this board

He tricked the other 12
He tricked Danaerys
He tricked You

He had Plenty of Riches, But they was all out in the open
The house, The Ships, The Statues, It does take money to have it all and Feed, Cloth a staff
It was all out in the open
Nothing Saved, 'Cause he was always trying to out do the Jones

ALL that so-called game, got him a horrible early death!

In the book, he was very wealthy, as he had a large number of merchant ships. Also, he tried his best to get Daeny accept his offer of marriage, as if they married, it was the custom of his people that the bride could ask for 1 gift from her husband that had to be honored/given, and the same of the husband to the bride. She didn't know this until I someone (I believe it was Jorah) told her. Daxos knew she wanted & needed ships to carry her growing army across the seas to Westeros, while he would ask for the dragons.

Plus, in the book, it was hinted that he was gay, and only pretended to be interested in Daeny in attempt to get the dragons from her.

I wondered this also. Since they had them surrounded it would seem that they could have prevented them from burning Winterfell, especially since their lives were spared if they surrendered

yeah, I was feeling the same thing.

Also, the question of the undead was not addressed in the show except for teh opening episode, was it? I have not read the books or the background materials, but will.

I was so emotionally drained after last week that the final episode of this season was anticlimatic. Glad they didn't wrap up too much. Looking forward to next season...

Its been explained who the undead are,a few pages ago

The blue skinned creatures are the White Walkers and the rest are wights(zombies)..

They've showed both of them last season...

one thing the show has shown us is that there is no reward for doing the right thing or showing mercy

so basically ducksauce was 'nigga rich'?
:lol::lol::lol:

That may be the case but he only outlived them for a couple of days. I guess that counts for something.

They got quick deaths, he will have to endure the long drawn out process of starving to death :smh:

Agreed. What a horrible way to die. Give me the quick death any day. :smh:

Thanks Fam for the explanation. This makes sense. I really need to get into the books. I am just afraid that reading the books will take away from my enjoyment of the show.

Reading the books will only take away from the show if you are like me and expect to see minimal changes between the books & the series.

But I still enjoy them both, liking the books more as the character development is stronger.

Just confused as to who the folks are beyond the wall. In the opening scenes of the show (season 1, episode 1) they showed the undead, killing two of the 3 dudes . Ned stark beheaded the other guy after he was caught. I don't remember seeing them again. Or were they the folks who were given the males from that freak who fucked his daughters?

Now who exactly are the folks who captured Snow?

The show has not been careful about explaining it all, just looking for a shorthand explanation. I fear reading all the background stuff right now because of the spoilers.

ok, got it. In the voice of Rosanne Rosanadanna, "never mind"...

Army of the dead (white walkers/the others & the wights - I don't know if the Walkers are in control of the wights or not). The group Jon Snow is joining is the (damn it. forgot the name. It's late. I'm tired I guess)

John Snow is meeting with the wildlings. Their leader is Mance Rayder. Major story arc next season.

Craster was giving his sons to one of "The Others". This scene wasn't in or implied in the books.

The wildlings (or "free folk" as the call themselves) are people that live north of the wall and live as they please. They hold to no laws or kings (depite the fact that they refer to Mance Rayder as "The King Beyond the Wall"), and even in battle, they are free do do as they wish, even the women.

Exactly. By the time that shit rolls around (when does it drop again?) I will be probably up to book 3.

Thank you all for explaining the White Walkers aka The Others and the Wights (the reanimated corpses that run with the White Walkers - I think I got it)

The White walkers are from the very first episode of the series first scene.

Many thanks for the explanation. Also, sorry for breaching BGOL etiquette for not reading back far enough in the thread. I see this was asked and answered time and again, and you are gracious to do it once more. Will read before peeping in the future.

similar response days back:

Wildlings = living people who do not live within the kingdoms

White Walkers = Zombie Motherfuckas on horseback

Don't want to know the details or when, but please somebody tell me that Joffrey gets got, huh?

damn i thought somebody on here said he would play a major part. they gave him a black mans death lol. i thought he was really that powerfull but it was all a lie:smh:

I must admit I was a little disappointed that the brutha turned out to be a fraud. So far I've only seen two bruthas. One is that thirsty ass pussy hungry dude with the ships and the second is a hoodrich scam artist. :hmm: I don't think dude is dead(he was never killed so they left it wide open for us to see him later) so he might turn out to be shit later, but right now im a lil salty.
Danys story was dumb. Why would that sorcerer put himself that close to some dragons? Sure they were babies, but it just didn't make sense for him to take NO precautions.

Question: I was surprised Jon Snow killed that dude.I thought they were scheming to escape.
