Cena's a good sport. Getting his ass handed to him two nights in a row...
A Louisiana man died at his own "Wrestlemania 28" party after he refused to "tap out" of his younger, much smaller cousin's "rear naked choke hold," causing him to stop breathing, police said.
Stephen A. Arceneaux III, a 24-year-old from Destrehan, was pronounced dead at 10:39 p.m. Sunday night, The Times-Picayune reported.
Arceneaux had invited a number of friends to his home to watch the pay-per-view professional wrestling event.
He and his cousin, aged 14, began wrestling on an inflated mattress at the party and the teenager, who weighed just 110 pounds (50kg), placed his arm around the 220-pound (100kg) Arceneaux's neck.
Witnesses said Arcenaux was in the hold for 30 to 40 seconds, but refused to give up or "tap out."
When one of the witnesses saw Arceneaux turning blue, they told the youngster to let go, but by that stage he had already stopped breathing, the report said.
Arceneaux's girlfriend tried unsuccessfully to revive him before he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
"It's bizarre," said Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Pat Yoes. "We're still investigating it. But when you have violent horseplay like that, it just goes to show you that anything can happen."
Lesnar backbut for how many dates?
PWInsider reports that Brock Lesnar's new WWE deal is for one year, lasting through WrestleMania 29.
He will be making a minimum of two appearances a month, including extra appearances during the build to WrestleMania 29. WWE can of course negotiate more appearances for Lesnar if he agrees to do them. The belief is that Lesnar will work 30-35 dates over the next year.
Yeah he got my respect last night..... about 10 mins in when he saw rock was getting tired and I seen him telling rock to catch his breath while he had him in a head lock even rolling out the ring so rock could get a second wind
. … He could of tried to be an ass about it but he took the high road
so wait, no ROCK? I will watch my dvr later this week!
From the comments Cena is getting a lot of praise for the match, so he's getting the rub for holding his own with Rock. This match easily tops his mitb because it felt like he was maturing during the match. I didn't like the way he mocked the peoples elbow, but that might play into his one mistake angle tonight. I don't think this called for a salute because i think this is setting up for a much needed reset for Cena, kudos to Cena for his expressions after the match. You mentioned how HHH forced Cena to be a wrestler, I think Rock did the same thing last night.
I think Rock accidentally invented the modified sitting toehold
Didn't think they would acknowledge that Lord Tensai used to be A-Train, well they said he was a former WWE superstar that went to Japan.
damn, they done turned Alex Riley to a jobber
yeah that's Albert. Still white. I heard he was good in japan like Vader or Hansen.
I hope the attitude era comes back, fuck that PG shit.

I disagree. Cena really did suck when he faced HHH but even then he could be carried to a good match. Since then he's turned into a pretty decent worker. As far as in ring talent, he and Rock are mirror images and that stood out when they were trying to prove who could put on a submission move the worse: Cena's STF or Rock's Sharpshooter.
But watching it reminded me what I hated about Rock's matches more than anything: his overreliance on punches.
Sorry Dave but we couldn't be more far apart on this one, Rock is a much better seller in the ring than Cena which is why his matches were always more enjoyable. Rock punches a lot but i've never read/heard anyone complain about it so i don't see it as a big deal. My problem with him is that damn sharpshooter, back in high school i use to call it an ankle shooter
BTW: Did anyone else see that creepy asian dude in the front row at Mania? He was wearing an orange hat and i don't think he blinked once![]()
Missed the Asian guy but now you got me going back to look for him later.
I don't think Rock is a much better seller than Cena. I can see him as marginally better but not much. He's more agile so he bounces better but that's it really.
A lot of people don't complain because they're used to it and not just from Rock but from that whole generation of guys who never learned how to throw elbows and forearms. I don't care how strong John Cena is (and he's a powerhouse to still do the spot at the end where he catches Rock, rolls through and puts him on his shoulders late in the match) but when a 6'5, 270lbs punches you in the face, you fall the first time. Bad punches have always been one of the worst ways to expose the business. He overrelies on punches like Flair does chops but Flair got old before he got like that.
Cena, who already gets a lot of respect in the lockerroom, just elevated himself even higher by helping Rock out in that match. There have been plenty of guys who would have laid an egg out of spite, mad because they had to do the job.
When have you ever seen Rock get his destroyed in the ring only to rise up perfectly fine like nothing happened? Cena never stays down even after finishers. Do we really want to go into what exposes the business
Taker's Tombstone, Sweet Chin Music(slapping the thigh), Scissor Kick, RKO, The Stroke, People's Elbow, The Worm, Stone Colds kick before the stunner etc etc. The point is Rock has had a ton of great matches because he's a damn good worker, Cena can work when he's put with someone who makes him work other times he's very clumsy. As for Cena being elevated for helping Rock in the match, it really is a sad sign when we reward guys for doing their job. I still remember Cena dogging it at Mania last year so it's not like he hasn't done it before.
You guys have been talking about Cena smiling too much for a month now and it never really bothered me until last night. The entire time Brock was walking down to the ramp, Cena was in the ring smiling his ass off. And then extending a hand .... FOR WHAT!!!! Did he look like a guy that wanted to shake your fucking hand!
I was hype when I watched the clip for the first time, mainly because of the huge pop. However, watching it again, it didn't come off that great. Brock's return was hurt somewhat by the assholes in the crowd chanting "We want Lesnar" minutes before his music hit and Cena smiling like crazy.
Cena didn't dog it last year. He and Miz just sucked.
Some of those finishers are good while other's are horrible (are you really comparing a piledriver to the worm and the People's Elbow?) but bad punches have always been a bad look, not just when Rock does it. I used to cringe watching Lex Luger throw punches. That dude threw them like he had never been a fight before.
Don't hype Rock too much for his in ring talent. He is good but he came up in a time when WWE was full of some of the greatest wrestlers of his generation: Benoit, HHH, Austin, Guerrero, Jericho, Angle. Cena hasn't had nearly the level of comp and when he does, he steps up to the plate. Then add him having a really good match with Bobby Lashley, not a great worker and still very green at the time, and even gave Khali the best match of his career and he SUCKS!
Of course you reward guys for doing their job, that's how you get them to keep doing their job and it makes sure the younger guys see what's expected of them. Cena knew he was going to have to be the workhorse Sunday night and he delivered.
Ok. Now that Mania is over, we can get back to some general discussions. I'll go first, *takes a deep breathe*
Can one of you older brothers help me out by explaining why Luger was ever popular enough to share airtime with top guys. He couldn't wrestle for shit, he was boring as all hell on the mic, and most backstage reports says he was a junkie and kind of a asshole.
Why was he EVER popular?

We've all seen Taker & Kane give the tombstone when the guys head isn't even close to touching the ground. Are you seriously trying to give me a Khali example? I agree about Lashley but Khali![]()
As for Luger i will never understand what fans ever saw in him![]()
