Sanford Police Chief: Not Enough Evidence To Arrest Zimmerman [Jim Crow 2012]

Seems to be a 3 inch line in Zimmerman's head in this pic.

Where is that line (if "enhanced") in this pic?

George Zimmerman’s Brother Speaks Out on Trayvon Martin Shooting

By MATT FLEGENHEIMER
In an interview Thursday night on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight,” George Zimmerman’s brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., addressed the accusations against his brother of racial bias and unwarranted violence in the killing of Trayvon Martin, 17, last month, calling his brother “the neighbor that everybody would want to have.”

The interview, excerpts of which were posted online by CNN, came as officials released expanded surveillance video Thursday from the night of the shooting, offering a different angle on Mr. Zimmerman’s exit from a police car and the moments that followed, as well as additional shots of Mr. Zimmerman being led through the police station in Sanford, Fla.

Mr. Zimmerman has said that he shot Trayvon in self-defense following an altercation on Feb. 26, after sustaining injuries that included a broken nose, according to his lawyer. While opponents have insisted that the video revealed no sign of injury to Mr. Zimmerman, Robert Zimmerman said Thursday that his brother’s nose “looks swollen” in the clips he has seen.

“I’m not a physician, you’re not a physician,” he told Mr. Morgan in the interview. “A lot of these injuries take time — 24 hours, 36 hours — to show the bruising.”

His brother’s nose was still broken, Robert Zimmerman added, and he had since been given a diagnosis of post traumatic stress disorder.

Mr. Morgan asked how Mr. Zimmerman — a man whom his brother described as a model neighbor, eager to help with a tire change or a heavy bag of groceries — could have become engaged in an altercation with a teenager.

“When you say, ‘chasing after and getting into an altercation,’ there’s a lot of ways that people get into altercations,” Robert Zimmerman said.

He continued:

I believe that if you wanted to reach over this table and assault me badly enough, you could be armed with ChapStick and a toothpick and still put me in fear of my — reasonable fear of my life. He didn’t get into an altercation. People don’t just get into altercations. There are aggressors.

After Mr. Zimmerman and Trayvon first exchanged words, Robert Zimmerman said, his brother “drew back” to retrieve his phone and call 911 again, to report that “this person who I lost sight of and was not pursuing has now confronted me.”

Robert Zimmerman said, “He never got to make that call because he was attacked by Mr. Martin.”

Robert Zimmerman said his brother has been particularly disappointed that no neighbors had come outside to investigate the tussle before he shot Trayvon. “The whole situation, potentially, could have been avoided by just someone coming out and saying, ‘Hey, what’s going on out there?’” Robert Zimmerman said.

Instead, Mr. Zimmerman “prevented his firearm from being taken from him and used against him,” his brother said.

“That’s called saving your life,” he continued, explaining:

Nobody just stood there with a bag of Skittles and an iced tea. You return force with force when somebody assaults you. George was out of breath. He was barely conscious. His last thing he remembers doing was moving his head from the concrete to the grass so that if he was banged one more time, he wouldn’t be, you know, wearing diapers for the rest of his life and being spoon-fed by his brother. And there would have been George dead had he not acted decisively and instantaneously in that moment when he was being disarmed.

Robert Zimmerman’s account was based on communications with his brother “within 24 hours” of the shooting, he said.

Responding to a question about whose voice was heard, apparently shouting for help, on a recording from the altercation, Robert Zimmerman said he recognized the screams as his brother’s. But the topic was “very sensitive” to discuss, he said.

“I don’t blame them for being as equally adamant,” he said of members of the Martin family. “I would expect nothing less, actually.”

At the interview’s end, Mr. Morgan asked Robert Zimmerman if he had a message for Trayvon’s mother. The episode was “a tragedy,” he said, but he hoped the coda to Trayvon’s life would not be “how we degraded our system and turned into mob rule and went into a hate speech carnival of hatred and ‘let’s go get ‘em’ and tweeting addresses.”

This was an apparent reference to a controversy surrounding the director Spike Lee, who posted the address of a couple in Sanford on Twitter, apparently believing that it belonged to members of Mr. Zimmerman’s family. (The couple has a son named William George Zimmerman, The Los Angeles Times reported.)

It was announced Thursday that Mr. Lee had reached a settlement with the family, which was forced to flee its home.

In his final words Thursday night, Robert Zimmerman lauded Trayvon’s mother for seeing “humanity” in Mr. Zimmerman and said he understood that “this is a story about human beings.”

“Ultimately,” he said, “we all wish that this was a different situation.”

cranrab, I think it's about 35-40 minutes after because they never took him for medical attention for that "Ass whooping" he got.

could be. truth is, i don't know. neither do a lot of people.

but the video doesn't really mean shit to me.

i'd be more interested in reading the police report. there is a huge gap in the narrative.

paramedics did render aid, but no trip to the hospital. no arrest because the law forbade it under those circumstances.

Shit is mad suspect all the way round.

The timeline is fucked. The way they say Zimmerman got an ass whooping and in the video dude looks just fine. :smh:

After watching this unfold from afar(I live in the UK)this whole thing should be easy to solve if Trayvon was shot in the back but if it was otherwise i think this monster who killed him will unfortunately walk judging by the fact that he hasn't been arrested.
This is a sad story that i think will see this monster walk free under police protection.

Why is it that white people never claim anyone who is half white? :smh::smh:

Oh they do. They like to take credit when blacks or nonwhites do well.

They will say shit like "the reason why blacks in the US experience any success is because so many of them are mixed with white" This is bullshit of course.

Well the reason why Zimmerman is a pussy murderous racist coward that is threatened by black boys carrying skittles and ice tea is because he is part CAC. Racism is programmed into their DNA.

now, the story has changed from self defense to zimmerman's brother saying, "george was breathing heavy, weak, etc., and THOUGHT that Trayvon would take his gun... so he had to protect himself."

these people are reaching... trying... FAILING.

a different day... a different story :smh:

Only when they are doing great like Obama when he just got elected.

Now he is back to black.

:lol::lol::lol:
They did that shit cause they felt left out cause they saw a lot of Black people celebrating like their team finally won tha Super Bowl.
Everywhere I went people were bumping My President is black or they were walking around rapping it especially on campus and cacs couldn't get in on it.
So these motherfuckaz tried to force themselves into tha celebration with all this "Hes half white to" bullshit.
Then a nigga hits em with Well, that motherfucka Rae Carruth was half white to" then they get tha bullshitting and saying it doesn't count when Rae Carruth looks way more mixed than Obama. But if Rae Carruth found tha cure for all diseases they would be back to talking that "Hes half white to" bullshit.
:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

That brother is a wicked ass lair. Why is it these people are fighting so hard on Zimmerman behalf?? Instead of blacks asking why Martin case is so special with blacks that have killed blacks. They should be asking why is it so important for him not to be arrested for killing a black?
At one time we were classified as property. And no white would be punished for killing a black. Unless that black belonged to somebody and they wanted some money for killing their property.
When the black man was dragged in Texas and the kkk came to the court house and said they would turn that place out if they gave that man the electric chair for killing a black.

Yeah he did but Piers should've said what he believes to be true because i think Toure seemed to think that Piers was backing Zimmermans claims.I think Piers also wanted him to think that so that he could back Toure into a corner which he executed well.

Maybe I'm foolish because I agreed with what Toure said.

The only point Piers scored was this bullshit line about "journalist being objective" that motherfuckers latch on to and unlatch from on a case by case basis. The way news is covered and has always be covered is to shape the story in the light that the broadcaster wants to show it in. Yes they put up a front, but the reality is and has always been the same. Part of that is knowing when to push harder with questioning and when to ease up.

About the Zimmerin' thing, I don't know if I liked it but I know the place were it comes from. Being black in America, and for that case this planet, is so fucked up that reality seems like a joke and it is a dark joke.

The only subject matter I wish Piers would have pressed Zimmerman's brother about was the "Coon" statement on the 911 call. Zimmerman's brother stated that the 911 call had been doctored and that it was not the official 911 and that it had after marker enhancements. So he would not speak on that particular 911 call because it painted his brother in a bad light. But when Piers played the audio from a man yelling for help, Zimmerman's brother said without a doubt that was his brother screaming. Yet that same audio was not an official call from the Sanford police, it was a copy that CNN had obtained. The calls came from the same place.

that interview painted piers in a box.... and the next time theres an issue that HE'S passionate about comes up...where he's not being so objective...somebody is gonna refer to this interview and make him look like a bigot.

It is plain and clear that Zimmerman is super protected and got great hook ups. The police dept. is probably no longer afraid of the things they did that night. Nothing has happened to them. But the bullshit they trying to feed us as facts. There is a such thing as voice recognition and they have used it before. We know for a fact all this shit is cover up. That man should be questioned and examined himself. No need for no one to do the talking for him. What have they killed Zimmerman? Why is he so protected????

C/S. The only thing I can hear is that he said its self defense, end of story.

Correct! And i happen to think that he is one.

At this point the state's attorney's office is stonewalling against releasing anymore information. They're hanging everything on the grand jury testimony to decide if this case moves forward. My hope is that we'll all continue to agitate for as public a release of information as possible so that this thing doesn't get swept any further under the rug. My assumption of what will actually happen is that the state's attorney will emerge from the grand jury and say that there wasn't enough evidence to move forward and that the case is now closed.

they will add all evidence will be destroyed to protect the privacy of the innocent.
