Trayvon Martin funeral director speaks out
The funeral director who prepared Trayvon Martin’s body for burial told HLN’s Nancy Grace Wednesday that he did not see any cuts or bruises on the teen’s hands that would have been indicative of a struggle with George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed the Florida teen.
Richard Kurtz of Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale said there appeared to be a gunshot wound in Martin’s upper chest area, but he received the body after the autopsy was completed so it was difficult to tell whether he had other injuries. He also could not determine the bullet’s entry or exit point.
“As for his hands and knuckles, I didn’t see any evidence he had been fighting anybody,” Kurtz said.
Citing police sources, the Orlando Sentinel reported that Zimmerman told investigators Martin punched him and slammed his head into the ground repeatedly before he fired the shot that killed the unarmed 17-year-old. He claimed he shot Martin in self-defense, and he has not been charged in the case at this point.
While Kurtz is not a forensics expert, the funeral director said he has handled the bodies of many homicide victims in his career. This case in particular affected him as he learned more about what happened to Martin and how the case was handled.
“I think the police investigation was the most unprofessional one I've ever seen in my lifetime,” Kurtz said.

George Zimmerman stalked a kid in car. Kid tried to run away. Zimmerman drove after the kid, then exited the car and went up to the kid.

George Zimmerman had an illegal firearm. After the restraining order placed against him by his then-girlfreind Veronica Zuazo, HE SHOULD HAVE HAD HIS GUNS AND PERMIT TAKEN AWAY. See the following FL law taken directly from the FL gun permit website:
Chapter 790.06(2)(l), Florida Statutes, prohibits issuance of a license to a person who has been issued an injunction that is currently in force and effect restraining that person from committing acts of domestic violence or acts or repeat violence.
And, from a FL domestic violence lawyer:
If you have been found guilty of a "domestic violence" classified offense you will be prohibited from obtaining a concealed weapons permit and any permit currently possessed will be revoked. Furthermore, your Right to possess firearms will be "disabled." That is the term used by the government - it means you will no longer be able to buy, own, or possess a firearm. In Florida, if you are arrested for a "domestic violence" offense and you end up entering a plea of guilty or no contest to an offense related to the arrest, even if it is not classified as domestic violence, your privilege to bear arms will be "disabled."

Sadly this is true... On top of having the investigation fucked up. Dude was given over a month to create a defense with his lawyers. Then you got the racist backlash. No jury of Zimmerman's peers are going to want to convict him.

The problem is the statement clearly makes Zim the aggressor, which limits his right to self-defense . Remember the term "provoking the difficulty". It will become the most important aspect of the case when real trial lawyers get involved.
