Education is a priority. You cannot play football without getting good grades. Plus you are always one injury away from having to move on to the real world. Football is temporary but an education will last a life time.
If dude doesn't educate himself he will be out the league broke like 60% of the other guys. This cannot be accurate. Some of those states with higher IQs have the most unintelligent people I've ever seen.
It shouldn't be though for someone with his skillset. Getting to the league needs to be #1 for him. Now that doesn't mean he should not go to class. I believe in education as a backup for these athletes, but let's be real, ALOT of people have college degrees and will NEVER make NFL/NBA type money. And at the end of the day we do what we do to make money in this country. I say dude needs to focus on playing his best, lifting, game tape, etc. Pick a major that interests him and call it a day.
I wish I had that type of talent to go to an Alabama or LSU as a 18 year old.
