People frequently make important decisions based on their assessments of the personality of others. A decision regarding who should baby-sit your children will depend at least partly on how reliable and conscientious you judge your choices of baby-sitters to be; and who you decide to marry might depend on how trustworthy and loving you judge your dating partner to be. People will make better decisions when they accurately judge the personality of others, and knowledge about the process of accurate judgment may help people make more accurate judgments. One important aspect of the process of accurate judgment concerns the person making the judgment, or the judge. Theorizing about the good judge posits that a good judge should be knowledgeable about how personality relates to behavior, have high levels of cognitive ability and general intelligence, and be motivated to be accurate, among other characteristics.
I think this is the most relevant portion of your last post. If we can agree on that then let's take the next step and admit that people assign certain character traits to certain groups. Religion, law, politics, art, literature, and even science are satiated with cue's that blacks are inferior in every respect. So, in order for people to make "accurate judgements" of other people they have to acknowledge, understand, recognize, and address all of the cues and how they've skewed peoples ability to make judgments. Accurate judgements is a loaded term in the context of America... when handling this topic.
