I for the life of me, dont understand how women can call each other hoes and sluts for sleeping around. Contributing to the double standard. But then turn around and wonder why there is a double standard.

I grew up in a small town and we (as adults) still remember and discuss when so and so did what. It's not so much the whole world will remember but those that go to school with you, live in your neighborhood, go to your church and the parents that know of the activity. People will use this against her as long as they know. On top of that, psychologically she'll believe the whole world knows about it when the rest of the world has moved on causing her to act out.

I spoke specifically about when I was a child and these were girls who did shit and had to come back to school the next day. Young people's attention span is naturally short and now it seems to be even shorter. If she removes herself from the public arena for a few months, it will go away (on a major scale).
It's her parents' job to get her through the rough immediate reactions and make her understand that this won't last forever and should be taken as a lesson on how to conduct herself in public.
