What is your take?
Thoughtone, if Perry wins, you will have a miserable eight years...
I hope he allows Texas to secede from the US and takes all of the negro coonservatives with him!
see why it has to be all like that?
BTW, que, can Coon be bannable?
#justsaying

Overall, Perry's been a decent Governor. Not as good as Bush, but better than Ann Richards.

And so will you!
Careful. They've already clearly shown that they will risk the nation, to get 1 person.
Maybe.
Does the term apply to you ???

He was great during Katrina, and Rita.
The mandatory shot situation made him look kinda bad, but a lot of Texans forgave him for that.
Perry isn't as strong against illegal immigration as I would like, however, he tends to do what is right at that time.
Overall, I think he would be a huge overhaul compared to Obama because Perry will not take any shit from anyone. The things your party got away with against Bush, Perry will defend himself better. He has a similar swagger as a Reagan.

Thought asked a question. AA answered honestly without any ugly comments. Questioned a Mod and this is the answer he gets.
Liberals protect their own. I guess its ok he voted for hope and change.
What about him taking the 650 million for the poor and elderly that he has used to balance the budget and has not dispersed to the intended.
The money was collected as a fee on electric bills when he deregulated them.
Does this demonstrate hardball politics or in actuality hatred for the first African American President?
Let's outsource some commentary to Barbara Bush, mother of the last Texas governor before Perry. In an opinion piece published for the Houston Chronicle on February 5, warning against new cuts to education funding, she wrote:
Our schools are in crises: We rank 36th in the nation in high school graduation rates. An estimated 3.8 million Texans do not have a high school diploma. We rank 49th in verbal SAT scores, 47th in literacy and 46th in average math SAT scores. We rank 33rd in the nation on teacher salaries.
Two days later, in an article discussing Texas' $25 billion dollar budget deficit, the L. A. Times' Evan Halper, quoted Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst's view on how to deal with the hole in state finances.
"A lot of the things we are doing arguably aren't priorities for the people of Texas," he said. "People could stake me and Gov. Perry on the ground and torture us, and we still would not raise taxes."
That's Texas: Don't even think about messing with taxes! And so, the inevitable result: This week Texas legislators took a big step toward resolving the state's financial problems by approving a new budget with $15 billion in cuts "to all levels of state government, including health care." $4 billion of those cuts will hit public education.
Whoa. Let me get this straight.
You approve a sum to be added to each electric bill to offset the utility expense of the poor, which should aggregate around 146 million; but so that you can say that you haven't raised taxes to balance state's ailing budget, the state then takes 80 million from the poor folks fund to balance the state's budget ??? - while poor people are dying in the Texas heat because they can't afford to keep window air conditioners running ???
GTFOH.
CBS News -- the Lamestream media, must have this wrong. Right?

and I thought they were just after Obama. Hell, he may be lucky. They're killing poor people in Texas

Is Republican Rick Perry running for president of the United States or for something else? With his recent political gaffe, he and Michele Bachmann appear to be running on the same anti-African-American platform.
During a talk before South Carolina supporters yesterday, the Texas governor compared the civil rights movement to the GOP’s fight for lower corporate taxes and deregulation, as reported in AlterNet. He was serious.
In Rock Hill, South Carolina, a reporter pointed out to Perry that this year also marks the 50th anniversary of a historic sit-in in the town:
PERRY: Listen, America’s gone a long way from the standpoint of civil rights and thank God we have. I mean we’ve gone from a country that made great strides in issues of civil rights. I think we all can be proud of that. And as we go forward, America needs to be about freedom. It needs to be about freedom from overtaxation, freedom from over-litigation, freedom from over-regulation. And Americans regardless of what their cultural or ethnic background is they need to know that they can come to America and you got a chance to have any dream come true because the economic climate is gonna be improved.
Perhaps Perry and Bachmann should become running mates. They seem to share the same worldviews.
Rick Perry says minimum wage jobs a path to upper management
Perry was braggin about all the jobs that Texas has created but the truth is, over a ten yr span"In subtly acknowledging the fact that many of the jobs created in Texas during the "recovery" have been low-paying or minimum wage jobs, Texas Governor Rick Perry (R), an all-but-announced Republican candidate for president, implied that these jobs provided a regular path to "upper management" promotion.
Perry, speaking at the National Conference of State Legislatures on Wednesday, said:
"How many times have you heard the story about a minimum-wage worker who made their way up to upper management? The mailroom employee who eventually ended up running the company?"
Perry said the best way for government to "ensure the most people have the greatest opportunity to improve their lives" is to put "more money in the hands of employers across all economic sectors".
I don't know about Texas but all of the companies I have worked at for the last 10 years. The mailroom has been handled by a contractor. Sort of hard to end up running the company when you don't actually work for the company.

Come on dude. Poor, and elderly?
Quit with the class warfare shit man.
Yeah, thats the answer he got. Now here's the answer you're getting: mind ya own gotdamn bidness.
(I'm finished with being courteous to you until you can learn some respect for us Black people)

Come on dude. Poor, and elderly?
Quit with the class warfare shit man.

you didn't speak on the question. That money and program was set up for a specific purpose and Perry is misappropriating it to boost his bullshit record.
That program was started when the electric companies were deregulated for a specific use. He isn't using it for that and to date he has used 650 million to plug holes in his budget.
Has nothing to do with class warfare it has to due with ethics from mister ultra christian lets pray for rain.
If you give your wife 300 to pay the electric bill and she goes to the mall and your lights get turned off would you be happy?
Same shit....
you have 9 billion supposedly in a rainy day fund but you cut education to balance your budget instead of calling it a rainy day.
Look at you
![]()
That race crap doesn't work anymore. When backed into a corner you liberals use it. Needless to say it's maxed out. I don't lose sleep over you not being courteous to me. I invite it. You're absent of excuses for your messiah, look at you wading in the mire.

He's doing a great job himself!![]()

The GOP's entire platform is essentially built on class warfare dude.
This is true actinanass.... no offense but you do this pretty often. Speak to issue please.

First of all, I pay my bills online because I know companies can fuck up.
Secondly, rainy day fund is for true emergency's. You know, like KATRINA. Something so dramatic in a major city. Not budgetary things.
You talk of ethics like Obama is the most ethical person in the world. GTFOH
When you're defending an indefensible character, attack someone else.
I see you, AAA.![]()
It's politics. That's the name of the game...
You do it in support of Obama. However, the difference in people on here, and me is that I will say "Perry is fucking up with immigration/name anything I disagree with". I'm not emotionally attached to any government official.
That's fascinating.... you think this is a quality unique to yourself?
Well lets test my theory.
Criticize someone you support.
If you can't, then stfu...
