JERRY RICE: Moss' Laziness A Slap In The Face

in the 80s and 70s, QBs had it rough, now you can't even breath on them
Brady nor Peyton haven't had to face the pass rushers that Montana had to face.
What Giants did to Brady was love taps. Brady never had to face the Giants 3-4 with LT, Pepper Johnson, Carl Banks, and Steve DeOssie with Bellichek calling the blitzs
after this hit Montana never played the same way again, to me he always seemed slightly retarded after this...

Who is this? And why did you post him?
A dude who after all of one great season started talking shit and called Moss a slouch, only to get burned and blow out his hamstring when trying to go man on Moss.

I don't think Jerry realizes that Randy is still an all time great and future hall of famer.

And how in the hell did Randy being lazy affect him? He wasn't on his team.

If this is the kinda insight he's going to add on ESPN, he's going to suck like his captain obvious teammate Steve Young.

I miss Summerall & madden calling games....:D

Bullshit. He got KC to the AFC Championship game, so nothing was wrong with him. They lost of course because of Shittenheimer.

And it sucks for Rice that Moss broke his TD record in just his FIRST season playing with the type of quality QB that Rice had the luxury of playing his WHOLE career with.

Really?

Rich Gannon and Matt Hasselbeck are better than Randal Cunnungham, Dante Culpepper, and Kerry Collins?

:cmonson:

I don't have a dog in the fight either way.

I will say this, I find it hard to believe that someone is so talented that they are the definition of lazy after doing something above and beyond for a decade and a half.

What always intrigues me, and this is a bit of topic, where does talent end and hard work begin to maintain said talent? NFL ain't an environment for "just talented". Hard work has to go in there somewhere if you have had any type of longevity.

Seriously?

It's not up to HIM to blow his own horn. Moss was the 2nd best receiver in history, so how much BETTER could he have been?? Never was gonna surpass Rice.

(And NO ONE's ever questioned Ochocinco's work ethic. Dude has always worked hard.)

I dunno i think he was on pace to atleast Tie some of those records.

Can u imagine if that was Gay Gutless... :itsawrap:
That bitch would have RETIRED after that hit...:lol::lol:

NY Giants=GREATEST LB CORPS IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL...

Dude Jay Cutler got sacked 9 times against the Giants last year and kept getting up.

Bullshit. He got KC to the AFC Championship game, so nothing was wrong with him. They lost of course because of Shittenheimer.
no doubt he was still a good QB and I never saw him as a cause for KC not winning, they just had a depth problem and an over rated coach. But Montana after that hit wasn't the same cold mother fucker that cut up defenses in the 80s- he was a bit more careful on the field and you can really see the difference if you pay attention to his interviews pre 90 vs post 91.
For the life of me, I can't understand people now saying he was over rated - f that - any of the QBs that got a ring in the 80s to mid 90s earned that shit and were damn good including one QB who didn't get the ring (Marino) they all deserve that respect

lol...this is why this convo is so funny....

You guys think the QB position...hell the receiver position is simply QB and Receiver...

its rules...like roughing the passer..illegal contact...bullshit like that that makes it hella easier to pass in this league than the Montana and young...

Its the simple fuckin fact that Montana had a running back....and running game....

meanwhile in NE passing is about 100% of the time....so of course Brady;s numbers are good...

but the two leagues are different...its harder for a QB in Rice and young's time then punk ass Brady's GTFOH

Really New England pass 100% of the time....They are one of the most balanced teams in the league, the reason why it look like they pass alot is because they dont have a superstar at running back....

Dont get me wrong if the running game isnt working they will pass it alot but overall they are a balanced team.

STFU dumbass he is the standard for his position how many WR's look up to cats like Rice & Irvin they have accomplished more in the league than Moss or any other WR...he is legend & has every right to say what he said...you MAD?!...stop hoping on back of Boston teams you fraud....

now you're a Ocho fan?....:rolleyes::lol:

Every since I've been on this board,Cunt have always talked shit about Ochocinco, but every since he went to the Patriots he's been on his dick....:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

Shady is cool... BUT... He always talks about Eli... yet, Eli NEVER QUIT on his team like that BITCH ASS QB in Chicago... Eli PULLED OFF THE BIGGEST UPSET IN SUPER BOWL HISTORY... and Eli led his team to 3 road wins on his way to the BIGGEST UPSET IN SUPER BOWL HISTORY... Meanwhile... Gay Gutless... FAKES A KNEE INJURY... then... gets spotted strolling up and down the street shopping for BLOOMERS and BRAS with a so called 'severe knee injury'...

... AND always remember... in that Super Bowl... the Giants were DOWN... and the defense was NOT on the field... Eli WON THAT GAME... No matter how you spin it... rationalize it... ELI WON THAT GAME...

Still til this day,I will not understand why Belichick had a horrible game plan for that game especially when they played them the month before.

And your assessment about Cutler is wrong he actually had an injury...If he just went out and quit I would agree with you but he tried to play in the 3rd quarter and got pulled by the trainers.

I think because Moss was one of the most gifted receivers that was in the game and quit in some games...Part of it have to due him not having a quality quarterback for most of his career...On top of that when Chris Carter retired he never had a mentor to get on his ass about about that shit....

Nobody isnt taking about how good Moss was and certainly he's a Hall of Famer but he could of been better than Jerry Rice if he could of stayed motivated.

The reason why Belichik had a terrible game plan was because he DIDN'T have his opponents GAME PLAN... like he did in the past... Do you notice how New England hasn't been OWNING people like they used to... That's NOT by accident... :smh:

... And as far as Gay Gutless goes... I RESPECT LOVIE SMITH for covering for him... BUT... There's NO WAY you have a knee injury and you STAND ON IT FOR DAMN NEAR the entire second half... and then... a few days later... you're walking on that SAME INJURED LEG WITH NO LIMP... :smh: I'm NOT BUYING IT... :smh: I don't care what a medical report COMING OUT OF CHICAGO SAYS... He BITCHED OUT in my book...

Dude Jay Cutler got sacked 9 times against the Giants last year and kept getting up.
thats bullshit he got dragged down or pushed or wrapped up - Cutler wasnt facing LBs and DEs or DBs that were cut loose... no helmet to helmet hits, no tackles leading with the helmet or shoulder for that matter reffs are calling solid shoulder tackles for helmet leads too... 9 sacks today isn't the same as 9 sacks against Singeltary, White, Smith, Lott or Taylor, and sure fuck ain't the same as 9 sacks was against Jones, Butkus, or Greene

cutler was fine on the outside
the inside was soft
phillip played on a torn acl in the playoffs while lt sat on the sideline with an ankle sprain
if phillip can play with a torn acl in his knee
everyone else either play
or admit you're soft

What's bullshit, he had nine sacks. What is there to debate :smh:

And the sacks don't include how many times he was hit.

Back in the day...blah blah...muthafucka you act like you were playing with Deacon Jones or something...would you want to get hit by Tuck or Osi?

And players also hit harder now because they're faster and bigger.

Dudes play Madden and then try to belittle dudes who actually get hit by 300lb dudes who run 4.7's as if it isn't shit.

I saw this all of the time coming up- naturally fast players just didn't work as hard on technique. Dudes would be fast as shit and get selected for RB /HB one way and LB / DB the other they always would fall back on their speed and fast reflexes instead of learning how to read holes or properly play against a screen etc... they would practice and work out but never on their own time. Less talented always out work the gifted and it shows

Dudes been sacked the most times in the league the past two years.

Dude is far from soft. He could have mailed it in a long time ago.

You can't compare injuries, because you don't know what each felt like.

I can only read the quotes.
but, I see Blunt defending 2 (black) players that the media shits on.
Plus, I saw Blunt sticking up for Mattew Knowles, in another thread.
That's not Blunt.....somebody must have accessed Blunt's password.

As hard as RIce worked did that help him when the 49's got

Rid of his Ass......... They didn't give afuck about his work out

So let Moss do what he wants to do maybe he All World if he had
Montana and Young when he was in his prime

he's been sacked the most because of the line you need to get fixed.
david carr used to get sacked more frequent than him, but you wouldn't equate carr with toughness now would you?

i think he does mail it in when shit doesn't go his way, his body language is telling
if shit is firing on all cylinders you see how he acts
when the chips are down you see how he acts
it goes both ways.
just what i think of cutler and he has a whole career to prove me wrong...and i wouldn't be mad if he did

I think Belichick was so arrogant believing the game plan that work during the last week of the season would work against the Giants again...That have more to do with Josh McDummy being a horrible offensive caller...

I dont understand why he try to throw the ball deep on every pass when the Giants defensive line was getting to Brady every time on top of that they didnt even try to run the ball in that game I believe...
