Ross was a mediocre rapper before and he's a mediocre rapper now. The only difference is he's using better beats. His rap style or lyrics haven't grown. He raps about the same bullshit. I'm not sure you know what growth is. If you're talking about Ross has been making better music, say he's making better music.
Gucci didn't sell 200,000 last album. All three Jeezy albums have gone platinum. Port Of Miami is still Ross' highest selling album, and he hasn't gone platinum yet. So why would Jeezy wait four albums and five years to finally aim shots at Rick Ross, when he's not any popular than he was when he first came out with Hustlin and Push It.
Gucci is a regional artist. Jeezy and Ross are national artist. Jeezy can be on a national tour with Wayne or Jay-Z in front of 20,000. Gucci does club shows down south. Jeezy can appear on summer jam line ups all over the country. They aren't anywhere on the same level. Waka gets more play in the northeast, because of his mom and his uncle Bimmy.
