Vice President, Marketing - Washington Wizards (Washington, DC)


Department: Marketing
Organization: Washington Wizards and Verizon Center

Responsibilities:

Interviews, selects, trains, evaluates and counsels the entire Marketing Department.
Develops, recommends and implements Marketing policies and procedures that are consistent with the Wizards and Verizon Center philosophies. Instructs and advises staff on changes in policies and procedures.
Prepares annual budget and monitors/approves revenue/expenditures during the year.
Monitors the Marketing Department and objectives to ensure the most effective services are being provided.
Develops, delegates and monitors the Marketing Departments goals, objectives and programs and ensures timely completion.
Collaborates with other Wizards and Verizon Center Directors to ensure delivery of quality services and resolve operational problems.
Oversees Game Operations activities.
Collaborates with other and Verizon Center and Wizards Directors to ensure delivery of quality services and resolve operational problems.
Reports to: President, Washington Sports and Entertainment

Supervises: Marketing Staff

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related area or equivalent combination or education and experience.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in the Marketing area, preferably with a sports and/or entertainment organization.
