Youth Football Assistant - San Francisco 49ers (San Francisco, CA)


Reports To: Senior Manager of Community Relations
Notes: No Relocation is provided. Local Candidates Preferred

Salary: $20,000 - $26,000

Primary Responsibilities:

Act as liaison for all youth football programs and events, both on-site and in the community.
Plan, organize and execute all Jr. 49ers Gatorade Kids Camps (training camp, in-season, off-season). Work closely with Sales and Marketing staff for basic equipment and product needs.
Plan, staff and execute 35-team NFL Flag Regional Tournament at 49ers Facility.
Plan, staff and execute 20-team After-School All-Stars Flag Football Tournament at 49ers Facility.
Promote, support and implement NFL youth football programs: NFL Flag, Junior Player Development (JPD), National Football League High School Player Development (NFLHSPD), Play It Smart, NFL/NFF Coaching Academy, NFL Grassroots, Coach of the Week
Communicate and maintain positive relationships with NFL youth football coordinators on team and league level.
Submit stories on local and national levels for youth football-related stories (49ers.com, NFLHS.com)
Coordinate youth football events and promotions surrounding Play Football Month (August/September).
Distribute flag football kits to elementary schools and rec and park programs annually.
Attend relevant youth football seminars (Youth Football Conference, Florida).
Schedule players, Gold Rush and staff, as needed for all youth football activities.
Manage all non-monetary donation requests.
Assist with player appearance requests. Interact with and enlist players for various community outreach events.
Serve as point-person for community youth groups attending games.
Work with Community Relations team to deliver all community projects on time and on budget.
Develop community relations contacts.
Host special guests at practice, games and events.
Provide publicity and content for 49ers events and programs. Submit stories for 49ers.com, 49ers publications and outside publications.
Education/Experience: College degree preferred or equivalent experience; 2 years experience working with youth in sports programs.
