first, is anyone having deja vu regarding kwame brown and his final season with the wizards?

second, the media is blaming the current fakers woes on 1) the fakers not named tobe, 2) a season plagued by injuries, and 3) coach jackson.

fakers fans have a fundamental problem with logic and reason. they have tremendous flaws in their ability to understand causation.

here is their basic (illogical, flawed) premise regarding fakers basketball:

A. the fakers not named tobe don't perform well
B. therefore, tobe must dominate the ball

here is proven (actual, correct) FACT regarding fakers basketball:

A. tobe dominates the ball
B. therefore, the fakers not named tobe don't perform well.

a very simple and subtle change in perspective would enlighten them tremendously.

nuggets locked up the 6th seed tonight. and in doing so, virtually gave the hornets the boot out of the playoffs.

the hornets' chances for the post-season were slim going into the game, and now it's pretty much a wrap.

right now, the warriors and clippers are winning, and the fakers are losing. if those scores hold, the "magic number" will remain 2.

EDIT: i'm happy to see allen iverson return to the post-season. now, barring injury, neither he nor carmelo anthony can invoke the "no help" excuse. too bad it looks as though they have to face the spurs' D in the 1st round.

It's not their year this year. I said give the Nuggets a chance to get healthy and play together. Nene has been the bigger suprise this year. He lost a lot of weight and is playing well. That is why they are winning.

When K-Mart gets back next year, they may have to consider having him play the 3 and moving Melo to SG to give Nene a chance to start at PF.

Not to change the subject, but why is the announcer verbally sucking off Kobe Bryant during this Lakers/Suns game?

It's not their year this year. I said give the Nuggets a chance to get healthy and [lay together.

no matter how well (or how poor) the nuggets play in the post-season, it's VERY important for them to be there. even if they get their asses handed to them this time around, as long as they compete, these players need to be there to experience it together. win or lose, it's invalueable for their growth.

BTW, the warriors held up their end of the deal tonight by blowing out sacramento. clippers are up by 20, so they're doing their thing. now let's see about these suns...

for those not familiar with the concept of a "magic number", it simply means that in order to secure a spot in the playoffs, the fakers must win AT LEAST the same number of games as the "magic number".

You forgot to add that the magic number also combines a combination of losses for people still in the playoff race. For example, the fakers dont have to win anymore games if the Clippers or Warriors lose their remaining 2.

BIG game tonight against Seattle. If Seattle wins then the team might as well officially start the summer vacation plans because I think the Kings will knock them off in the final game of the season.
