What would you do if you went from 40K to 400K in 6 months working in tech?

the most i've made in 6 months was about $240k
and that was the year after covid hit and i was working 4 remote jobs at one time. i worked them from Jan - June.....then quit 2 of them and kept 2.
That shit almost burned me the fuck out.

QA is hell but is a job that will always be a need

I tell you what, last week I found out someone hit the million dollar Powerball in my city. I checked my tickets and sadly I was not the one who hit. With a million dollar jackpot I probably would have came away with about $400,000 after taxes

My process would have been the same. I owe $240,000 on my house so I would have paid down $220,000 of it. I was told you never pay off your house because then it becomes an asset that people can sue you for. Imagine a minor fender bender that someone can sue you for and take your house

Beyond my house I have about $10,000 worth of debt so I would pay that off, get my kitchen and bathroom redone, and continue working my job for the next 6 years 1 month and 25 days, and still have some money in the bank
