Knicks Win Six Straight

It looks like Stephon Marbury finally gets it
FINALLY!!!

Now I can say it...."The Knicks" were never the problem
with Larry Brown's "system", the problem was with the
"head" (or as I call him....SUPERhead). The rest of the
team was grasping it very well, including Jamal Crawford
but Steph was really the lone holdout. He continued to do
his own thing while the rest of them were playing within
Brown's system. They actually played team ball whenever
Steph went to the sideline, which was very rare as, (like
most chuckers), he played well over 40 minutes per game.
So the only time the Knicks got to play together without
him was when they were down by hugh amounts

Brown's tinkering with different starting lineups was also
not working....primarily because there was one player who
Brown did NOT tinker with starting wise.....Marbury. Brown
could not bench Marbury without causing a controversy
in the press, so he used another method. Finally calling
his reluctant guard out in the press himself. Once that
happened, it woke up the sleeping Garden fans, and you
actually heard BOOING of Marbury in the Garden.

Don't remember what game it was, but right before the
streak, Robinson and Crawford led a Knicks rally from 21
points down to 9 and Robinson fouled out....The crowd,
cheering emphatically for Nate, then when Steph stood
up to take his place (taking the "terrible towel" off his
Superhead), the crowd CLEARLY booed his ass and there
was no avoiding the obvious.....They finally caught on to
what the problem was and there was no way to hide it
anymore.....It wasn't Curry's fault, or Isiah Thomas....or
Crawford, or Larry Brown, Malik Rose or Mo Taylor's. They
all were hustling, playing unselfishly and doing okay.
So what was the problem????

From that point on, Steph has been a model citizen. Pass
first, shoot as a last resort type of player and the Knicks have
been ULTRA successful. Certain players are starting to flourish
and certain questionable moves are paying off now.....

Sad, thats what it takes for a "star" player to finally get it.
I can think of a couple of star players in big city squads that
need to follow suit. One is suspended right now, lol

and you HAD to jinx 'em...

just kidding. LOL.

that little streak was fairly impressive too... i mean, they didn't knock off a bunch of weak sisters...

they defeated current west coast contenders phoenix suns, dallas mavericks, and the lukewarm cleveland cavaliers...

when players buy into a system, and work towards a COMMON goal (say, wins v. scoring titles) funny things start to happen...

yeah, and not only is that ONE suspended, he's been trying to poison the minds of 2 young players: deshaun stevenson and dwight howard. he's been encouraging the youngsters to listen to him during games, and NOT the coach...

what he's doing right to coach hill right now reminds me of what scumbag sandbagging tanker marques johnson (admitted he) did while to coach chaney on the los angeles clippers.

That's a damn shame. You can't just bring yourself down, you
gotta bring down impressionable youth with you. It's like the
old saying, "misery loves company". I just hope Howard has some
kind of positive reinforcement. He seems like a good one with
his head on straight, but at 19 years old can easily be manipulated.

It seems like there's always some kind of power struggle going on
between certain players and coaches. I don't see the problem, IF
the player has some kind of knowledge of the game and whatever
he suggests results in improving the teams....Sometimes coaches
don't give a damn and NEED some kind of foot up their asses, just
like Steph did....

But deliberately undermining another mans' efforts just to make him
look bad is really fucked up....That's the type of shit that always
comes back around to you eventually....

Didn't know that about MJ. I used to like that dude when he was
with Milwaukee and UCLA

I didn't say there were perfect....Steph STILL doesn't
play ANY defense. He just doesn't even try. He was
at the "2" on defense today...Look at the boxscore and
tell me what you see at the opposing 2 guard positions

(Mo Pete and Jalen Rose.....Mike James was out...Calderon
played the point for 40 minutes)

It's alright is ONE guard doesn't play great defense, but
NEVER both. Crawford isn't a great defender, but he gets
alot of deflections. Steph plays very little d. If his man gets
by him (which he always seems to do) watch what he does.
He basically just stands there until the ball goes in then
goes straight to the guy inbounding the ball and gets it....

yeah, i liked his game too, especially when he was on the bucks...

but bitch ass actually smiled and laughed about how he and other clippers veterans tanked games ON PURPOSE in order to get coach chaney fired...

i'll never forget that day... :smh:
