Yet another "AINT NO BLACK MEN LEFT" forum starring Jacque Reid

When I said I wasn't initially attracted to him, I wasn't referring to his physical features - to be honest, I thought he was a "lame," because of how he carried himself, what he was wearing and his "mouth piece."

Define "lame".

damn, she was clucking pretty hard at 1:20

could barely watch the video. felt like smacking someone after watching

 that's how I felt. Just watching it got my pressure up.

Fuck em. If they're too blind to see that there are millions of loyal, hard working, family orientated black men who just may not fit all of their simple minded specifications, they deserve the life they have.

That's what's crazy about her situation. There of MILLIONS of men in this country to date. And she saying it's always the men's fault why she's single???

I think she needs to do some soul searching and gain some knowledge of self.

This is THEE most incorrect thing i've ever seen you say. I'm not even sure you believe this to be true or you're just fuckin around.

You're saying 2 different things. He specifically said Loyal. Hard working. Family Oriented.

You're just saying MEN. Yes there's MILLIONS of men. But there's not millions of eligible decent LOYAL family oriented black men. There's not millions of black men.

Define "lame".

I mentioned it before - he wasn't the outgoing, bubbly personality guy. He was quiet, and dressed "ok (he had on his Carolina blue, and I just felt he was dressed "down" too much ) I know it sounds crazy, but he didn't "knock my socks off" when I first met him. He intrigued me, though, and that's why I bit. Lucky me

As I said before, there are MILLIONS of men for her to potentially date (BILLIONS if you include the entire planet). Ol girl need to go and get her a man instead of being single with the idea of a perfect man that will never arrive.

I'll bite...

I wasn't initially attracted to my husband, because he didn't have certain attributes I thought I needed. I was always attracted to a more flashy man with an outgoing personality (similar to mines,) and he's a quiet, country boy that loves basketball, meat and God (not in that order!)

I now understand he was EXACTLY what I needed and, thank God, was patient with my mean ass! I see so many of my attractive, "got their life together" black female friends searching for unicorns instead of just searching for a good guy...it's hard to be on the other side of things and explain this to them because I often feel like I'm woman-shaming them because of the success I had in my relationship...

Trill perspective from a woman.

I had this conversation the other day....black women are bitter because black men are tired of their bullshit...

like the woman said in the video..she calls it "just trying to help a black man become more"....but we call it bossy. Black women want someone that they can "train up" to be what THEY want him to be. Instead of letting that man be a man, the man that he wants to be. And if you don't like that move on to the next.

I told the bitch she don't want a man you want a puppy....go get one of those:lol:

Now, just hold on...I want to clarify something.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a woman wanting to get with a man and attempting to "improve" him; wanting to build him up to the type of provider she desires; wanting to turn a good man into a greater man.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. A lot of brothers wouldn't be as successful as they are if it wasn't for the strong sisters they had in their lives.

However, Jacque Reid is not one of those type of women. Professor Greer exhibited that she is - especially when she used the "assembly required" analogy.

If those other three sisters were able to ascertain that concept, they would not be single.

buuuulll.....shiiittt!

I cosign the bullshit, though

A friend told me lately. Black women are the only group of people who are told not to have standards.

i get it... but there's a difference in being supportive and being bossy

A friend told me lately. Black women are the only group of people who are told not to have standards.

That's not true.

Not true at all.

On both sides of the coin we have the wrong standards.

People care about whether you make 6 figures and drive a nice car

Or have a banging ass body and can suck a dick

instead of how they feel about abortion. How they want to raise children.. to spank or not to spank?

How do they feel about politics?

What spirituality to do believe in if any at all?

Is staying at home chilling OK or do you need to be in the street?

These are the things.. people just fronting out here big time. And then wonder why shit don't work out.

I dont agree with WTGGT on matters pertaining to male/female dynamic/relationships but i see why she takes such hard stances at times. Bitches cant win with some of you cats. Look at Jo, she is admitting that she once had superficial standards and ideals and once she put them aside she found a PERFECT life partner and is currently in a fulfilling relationship.

Instead of commending her on personal growth and a successful relationship, niggas is all "awwww that nigga a lame!! you settled for a clown" and shit... :smh:

Some of you brothers more bitter than bitches.

ALL BITTER fam

ALL

A man's bitter is "I don't love these hoes"

All people should have standards, it's just that some people set an impossible standard...let's not say impossible, we'll go with improbable. my standard is a smart, cool, and fun chick that can use logic instead of emotion when making decisions. I want an equal that isn't in a relationship to get everything she wants. If only one of us is getting what we want, that's not a relastionship.

These women in this video don't want a relationship, that want a monarchy type of coupling...and that's why dudes aren't sticking around.

Disagree. It's very true for us. Every single 1 of us have been told to lower our standards and accept whatever comes along. No matter what you've done with your life as a woman. You're still only good enough for some dude who can barely keep a job picking up cans on the highway.

I could be Ashley and black men still think the best i should be able to get is a crackhead.

And then when the crackhead does what crackheads do i'd get blamed for being with a crackhead. No. This doesn't happen to black men. This doesn't happen to ANYONE but black women Bills. No matter WHAT a black woman does somehow she's in the wrong for it dude.

I don't disagree that the blame is out there. I disagree with that entire line of thinking though (what you're worth and only good for) and women should stop fucking with the meat heads who think like that.

I see Jo and i didn't understand why she was telling them that stuff and disclosing that. Every post she made was them just another attack at her. For doing exactly what these dudes say a woman SHOULD do. Imagine that.

How the hell are Jacque Reid and Sherry Sheppard qualified to talk about relationships? Why did Larry have a chick that mainly dates white men when they're talking about black relationships? Jacque is 40 and still waiting on her Barack. The feminists have made damn near two generations of black women on wifeable.:smh:

Which is exactly my point to women who say "there's plenty....". And you saying don't deal with those....

A good black man IS a unicorn. A treasure to find. Those women who have their GOOD black men have found those treasures. And that's fucking wonderful. I love them all.

But acting like those dudes are just all over the place out there? That's selling a dream. And that's WRONG TO DO.

Nobody addresses what i and Dr. Umar have said either. About how even if every black woman in america had 1 man, there's still many more women than men. Narrow it down to straight men. Narrow it down even further for... employable. Decent morals. Unselfish. Likes women.

Gregory has a job. But he just wrote how he views women. Nobody disagreed with him. Because they really do agree with him. Is that the kind of person Ashley is supposed to be with? Really?

Shit don't even out. Married woman in the OP post out here selling hope. In a hopeless situation. So we get told not to have standards just take what you can get. And that didn't just START. I remember hearing about it in the 60's and seeing it myself in the 70's and 80's.

A guy who blames black relationships on feminism? Basically the concept of treating people like HUMAN beings? This is the type of thing we're supposed to accept Bills?

For that to be even realistically entertained there would need to a radical and through indoctrination of men and women in our society to prevent abuse/misuse by both sexes.

Oh and Kudos to Jo.

* two cents *

Its funny that these women are complaining, but not asking the men what they can do to be a catch. All I hear is he got to make as much as her or a little less, but nobody is talking about character. This is what I call, "The ugly and old women argument" because beautiful women don't have these problem and I'm not just talking about looks.....

Lets face it, these women are not worth fighting for......:dunno:
