I wasn't initially attracted to my husband, because he didn't have certain attributes I thought I needed. I was always attracted to a more flashy man with an outgoing personality (similar to mines,) and he's a quiet, country boy that loves basketball, meat and God (not in that order!)

Now, just hold on...I want to clarify something.
I don't think there is anything wrong with a woman wanting to get with a man and attempting to "improve" him; wanting to build him up to the type of provider she desires; wanting to turn a good man into a greater man.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. A lot of brothers wouldn't be as successful as they are if it wasn't for the strong sisters they had in their lives.
However, Jacque Reid is not one of those type of women. Professor Greer exhibited that she is - especially when she used the "assembly required" analogy.
