bizzaro it doesn't matter what I say, you are convinced I'm making a killing off ads and I'm only trying to get in your pockets.

I'm just burnt out on the monthly grind to get up the server bill.
I kept it free all these years because I know if you charge for a board the chances of the board making it is very slim, but after the past few months of barely making enough cash to pay the bill, I'm going to let whatever happen happen. It's been a good ride, after 10 years if the board goes away I have no regrets.

All I see in here is folks coming up with great ideas to make BGOL work. HNIC is constantly responding with fuck you pay me type responses. Nigga needs to take his server overseas to Malaysia where they dont' care what type of content you have. No reason you should have to pay when other forums are free. Heck I'm on a Ford F150 forum that has over 100k members and has 1 banner ad.
We will definitely lose some members, you have been around a long time, I'm sad to see you go.

Watch the board starting "changing" and then suddenly these same people talking about, it's only $10, will be complaining about how BGOL has changed and it shouldn't have been done. Real talk, BGOL won't be around in another 5 years as a pay site. Because membership will only dwindle, there will be other message boards, and the fee will only go up.
The very essence of this board is, not paying for shit you can get for free. That's going to cut down on members, which will hurt this board.

I agree. Make it so nothing but pics can be shown on the main board, but movies/music/programs/etc. can only be viewed on the backup board and the white/asian/latina boards. (which you'd have to pay to get into.)
The mods would have to monitor the main board and move posts to the appropriate board.

Under normal circumstances I wouldnt mind the $10, but it seems like every other week somebody or some studio is asking for their material to be pulled off of BGOL. I just dont want to be paying money for something that is very limited in content. The homegrown/stolegrown posts are nice, but they are just pics ppl stole from another board or site.. that I can access with or without bgol. Same with the music. Now what I do like to come to bgol for are the vids.. but thats whats starting to become more and more limited. Again, I dont mind the 10/yr.. I pay rapidshare $10/mo... but I think the board needs a constant level of content AND some type of official rules regarding banning and/or deleting threads cuz I will be damned if Imma be paying and be banned for some BS or have my threads magically disappearing like some folks have had happen to them on here.

It ain't a lot about the porn for me and not my main reason I support this board. I mean the porn is king but you can't get a better news/warez/music/movie source than BGOL. Not to mention there is nothing more enlightening than being able to bounce an idea off the brothers to help get your bearings for a whole host of issues. I've learned a lot being here. One stop shopping up on this bitch.

There is alot of bitchassness in this thread about $10/yr. I have been lurking this board probably since 2001...finally became a member a couple years after that. All the music, movies, lessons, laughs, advice is worth more than that $10 per year. Hell if HNIC ask for $100 a year. I would pay it.

I thought about it and remembered I paid $25 to get a rapidshare acct to download all the programs, music, and porn that I get from here. So count me in...plus I am too lazy to find shit on the net when it is available here.

Sorry, thats too much of an inconvenience to me. Im that busy. The least you can do is make the "donation" process as smooth and effortless as possible. I strongly suggest you setup a dummy paypal account for a set period of time and allow donations for those who dont use snail mail. I know the paypal restriction on porn but that is easy to get around especially if you only need the account for a limited time.
