While the cop's actions were definitely heinous, he did tempt fate by saying he was going "to shoot". Hell, even I thought it was gun. He most likely was mentally disturbed and was looking to die from the cops.

Idiot.

- He threatened to shoot, if the dog was released.
- In all fairness, he threw the "alleged" gun in the air vs placing it down.
- It was nearly impossible to determine what that was in real time or whether he was about to shoot.
- I saw it in slow motion and thought it was a gun as well. It turned out to be a sandal and he was just bluffing about shooting.

What DID bother me was the fact that the cops placed more value on a K-9 than a black life. Not one of them checked on the victim. Instead, they went straight to the dog. It's clear to me, the cops view us as sub-human and our lives are not valued by them. This is a great example of that thinking. They made a conscious choice to ignore the victim altogether.
