Why are they trying to remake Color Purple? Hasn't that movie done enough damage? WTF!

Saw it last night.. Wouldn't watch it again. It focused more on the music than the characters and they're nuances of their relationships. It was too feel good, they cut short some of the major hallmark scenes of course on purpose.

What damage has Color Purple done? That's a silly statement.

"BLACK" man BASHING,

just a fuckin lesbian love story!!!

GET THIS BULLSHIT THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!

wondering why our relationships are so fucked up today,

too many of us are following hollyweirds psychological

mindfuckery through their hollyweird films!!

the color purple is nothing but a lesbian love fest..

fuck dat shit!!!

but like dude said, the Acting is what made the ist movie what it was,

but the overall substance of the flick was GARBEEEGE!!! not even garbage but

GARBEEEGE!!

I feel like a lot of dudes didn't read the novel or see the original

And also didn't realize this was an adaptation of the musical not the novel.
I feel like a lot of dudes are near illiterate and have a hard time processing anything that isn't an MCU or hood movie. Which brings me to my question, why don't I see as much vitriol for television, movies, and music that make black men look like nothing more than this, ruthless killers and drug dealers? I believe there's a lot more of that than the color purple has negative representation of black men.

i did because I hated the first and wanted to see if the new version would let me see the movie in a different light. I still hated that shit however I paid to see it so my $$ can go towards supporting black cinema. All the major cast I support and wanted my $$$ to count so when I'm on BGOL I can talk shit because I spent my $$ on that bullshit.
