No social movement will change that, unless it benefits itself. No black in a political position in the west will change this due to the nature of the system. My various african colleagues tell me of the dirty politicians they have to deal with in their respective countries.

We are the global majority, yet we don't act like it.

We are absolutely capable of turning things around,yet some of us beg the political structure to let up and give us room, when they initially stole ours...

I'm glad you brought up this topic because it allows me to express some theories I've had on the subject matter for a while.

Black people globally are in the position we are in because we haven't practiced taking power enough. We haven't attempted to take over the world and exploit the known world for resource enough.

Europeans through fighting each other constantly throughout history have learned the practice of taking and maintaining power from each other for long periods of time. Their competition with each other has allowed them to hone certain skills in the game of power and ruthlessness that other cultures have not. It created a hunger to be better than the "other" (those they are competing with). I think this is where superiority complex comes ultimately from. Those countries and people unable to compete with them in the war games of power were deemed inferior.

It's as they say iron sharpens iron. They were always trying to out do or out match each other. Personally, I've always believed you learn a lot from the people you fight with, who you compete with. You learn a lot about yourself and other people. All this fighting with each other and using other countries as resources has helped birth the western civilization we see.

Even when you look at the world today all the western powers are somewhat at odds with each other on one thing or another but there is a mutual respect for each other and what the other can do. We've witnessed this in several wars, most recently with WWI WWII and every subsequent war.

The constant warring with each other has driven them to build larger militaries and economic bases to support them. Because they are so skilled at the game of war it makes it easy for them to take and exploit other countries who do not have a respectable military force to resist them.

Although Africans have had many conflicts among themselves I don't think it's been enough to drive that level of competition we see from Europeans. I think for the most part African people just wanted to maintain the status quo. I think our mentality about the world is a lot different than the European counterparts.

I think Europeans mentality about the world is driven by competition and because of that they see things from a scarcity perspective. "I must have more before my competitors get it and wipe me out. There won't be any more for me left." There's a sense of urgency or else. So the competition rages for resources across the globe and pussy is one of those resources as well. Yes, it's another territory to be conquered. Whoever has the most access to resources and reproduction can see to it their legacy lives on to continue the fight. Take away reproductive resources from your competition and he dies off.

No doubt African people's condition in the diaspora is depressed. We are easily bullied by western powers with no real recourse for get back. We look at the present day problems compared to how advanced western nations are and it seems daunting. A long way to go. I say perhaps our goal in the world is different from Europeans. Perhaps there is another way for us to assume power that we have not recognized yet that doesn't require us to have a large military or maybe it does. Maybe it's our goal to show Europeans there is a better way of living than the current one. A renaissance is needed like the Moors did in Spain.

Once we recognize our mutual powerlessness in the world and start reaching out to help each other globally instead of isolating ourselves from each other we can make advancement very soon. Despite Europeans conflict with each other there was still trade and commerce between certain groups.

This is true. Religion has been a unifying force for Europeans but also a dividing force among them. Catholics vs Protestants vs Orthodox.

Also it was religion that unified the slaves from different tribes and cultures to unify and consolidate power under one belief.

There has to be a plan.

Just look back at anything throughout history. The way a war was handled. Why it was started. How a famine was handled. How a battle was handled. How a revolution was handled. Anything.
