there are piles of spec scripts on the subject its not a matter of creating one from scratch unless chris nolan wants to do that..otherwise its just a matter of picking a good story or a good writer who can bang out a great tale.
WTF??? He and his brother are gonna write the script as usual, if they remain inviolved. It's totally Nolan's vision. He has complete control (especially now). No one's interested in someone else's "spec scripts."
thats funny since Batman Begins had two villains (ras al ghul and scarecrow) and the Dark Knight had two villains (joker and two face).
You keep treating the films as a single entity. As I said earlier, you have no idea where the third film will go. It may be a compete departure. Nolan is nothing if not adventurous and unpredictable.
Ledger didn't own the joker (despite what fanboys believe) he did a great take but nolan clearly left room for the character to return at some point rather kill him off like burton did.
Again, Nolan didn't know his actor was gonna die, so he left his options open. Now that Ledger is dead, the "JOKER" might as well be too.
chris nolans filmography suggests that hes eclectic but the tone and look of this series so far is clearly uniform..if nolan went away from that uniformity to top the last film it would be a mistake.
Well, he 's gonna have to do something fresh, because he won't be lucky enough to have an attractive actor die in his physical prime (and at his performing peak) on the next one. The first film wasn't exactly a major blockbuster. It underperformed at $205M. Bale is a big ZERO at the box-office all by himself.
riiiight...because hollywood NEVER beats a dead horse
superhero burnout?? Iron Man (2008)
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Thor (2010)
Captain America (2011)
Avengers (2011)
and thats just from Marvel...as long as money can be made hollywood will keep churning them out..
That's exactly my point. By 2012 half of those films will likely be regarded as box-office clunkers (like the new Hulk). Audiences will tire of this shit by 2009, though fanboys might not. Porn fans never tire of porn, but general audiences get bored real fast.
