White Neighbors show up with German shepherd and Hoses Down Prominent Black Dinner Party Guests @ their 2 million dollar home.

I couldn’t imagine running into my son’s treehouse as 1 man sprays me, my wife, and guests with a water hose in my own backyard. It doesn’t seem like they need the money from a lawsuit either.

Im curious what facts will come out and what the outcome will be.
The lawsuit is how that class fights...if they aint gonna whip his ass, at least take so much money from him that he is financially fucked up....that would hurt more than an ass whipping although he definitely deserved the ass whipping

So I don't get caught up in the FBA/ADOS bullshit that a lot of y'all in here do. However as a Black man who has a lot of Caribbean people in my family as well as Caribbean people that I grew up with I will say there is a difference in how Caribbean people react to disrespect from White people.

A lot of it, especially if they're immigrant Caribbeans and didn't grow up here will have a mindset of not realizing just how racist white people can truly be even here in NYC. They didn't grow up with racism front and center to them so to them it's all new. So you end up with a lot of Caribbean people putting up with shit no Black American would ever let happen.

Then you couple that with those same Caribbeans always being told that Black Americans are loud and rude when really we're quick to stand up for ourselves because we know how much white people will try to get over on you.

I think this incident is all of that coming to a head in a crazy way and now this doctor has gotten his Negro wake up call.
Doesn't seem like it was all Caribbeans there and the educated class is well aware of the symbolism of water hosing in regards to the civil rights era...even if they aint aware, a dude turning a water hose on you, your wife, sister, friends is disrespectful enough on its own that one doesn't need to know the historical symbolism...it would have been grounds for an ass whipping even if the neighbor was Black

Beware of generalizations...lets not forget the Crown Heights riots

I didn’t really think this had to be said, but how long do you think you'll be working at the Justice Department for jumping on someone over some nonsense? Never make life decisions based on emotion.

Most of the guys in here are just talking shit and not even understanding the type of positions these people hold in public. These are not blue-collar workers.

Among them were friends of Rosevony’s from Fordham Law School, where she earned her J.D., along with attorneys from the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and New York State Gov. Kathy Hochul’s administration, two bank executives, a New Jersey public schools administrator, at least one public defender, high-powered music industry player Rigo Morales, who co-founded the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective, and Rosevony’s fiancé, the co-founder and CEO of a cybersecurity risk management consultancy.

So you're saying they should have at least bust the cacs head to the white meat. Being that the monetary damage won't be significant enough to affect his family for generations

You know Queens? That neighborhood alone says he can pay up. And he will. Then he will move to Rockaway or something because that will be all he can afford at that point.

That CAC will no longer be their neighbor.

If it was just the owner suing, I'm pretty sure they could get a favorable judgement or descent settlement against dude.

if it were 22 separate lawsuits with each suing for various amounts, okay it's feasible. You figure some may settle and move on.

However 22, in what seems like a class action lawsuit, seems like any real monetary victory would be questionable. if the goal is to hurt him as much financially as possible, i can see that with lawyer's fees and what not. Although fwiw, I see this asshole trying to defend himself in court.

Yes dude should have money based on where he lives. We all know of some so-called rich person being broke as fuck because of poor money management.

Using this to force him out of the neighborhood seems doable, but doesn't feel overly satisfying if that's all they get out of it.

Although unrealistic to expect this to happen, a part of me feels a violent response would get best gratifying results.

bankruptcy means they go thru all his financials, sell all his assets and pay the plaintiffs. Might even have to sell that nice house.
I was thinking about that when I thought about Goldman's 35 mill judgement against oj. Not getting into the right or wrong of it, just the fact the judgement didn't mean much since they couldn't touch his pension

Some of you pussies talking about doing nothing because you would sue. How much money do you really think you will win because dude sprayed water on you?

I hear you but I don't consider that issue to be nonsense....one is allowed to defend one's self...could have at least held on to him and subdued him while someone called the cops...and if its a case where the water pressure was strong enough that they couldn't get close, well that's more evidence of it not being nonsense

I really aint on no tough guy shit but everybody has the right to self defense

To paraphrase the great Ali Siddiq..."you can't even give them an inch, because next time it'll be a mile".

Them "neighbors" needed a good crack upside the head. Ppl do hoe shit to ppl they PERCEIVE will do nothing.

This is really it. Ya'll coming from emotional places with your pledges of violence. These folks have a different way of dealing with things.

Now tell me which one makes more sense when you have the resources...
  • You attempt to assault this man and his wife on their property and potentially get mauled by their GERMAN SHEPHERD and/or facing charges of your own and losing the prestigious positions you worked hard for
  • Or you call the cops, get this shit documented and file 22 LAWSUITS against their family, potentially taking their home, their wealth and getting them out of your neighborhood.
You think if they win, anyone will ever try that shit again? Looks like they just aimed for a more substantial solution is all.

You can always kill the dog AND sue them. Just saying
