They actually use drugs at the same or higher levels that black people.
The big difference is that there weren't systems put in place to severely punish them or to make them the face of drug abuse and crime.

I've never seen a white person turn down a bump of cocaine, so them doing crack wouldn't be outside the realm of imagination.

White people are so much drug addicts that they had towns where cacs were going to the hospital for licking frogs cause some of them would have poison that got you high, they would do they things like choke themselves cause it gave them a sensation of being high, breathing in helium, all kinda of shit.. For decades you hear on the news some random town had warnings not to do things cause a bunch of kids, teens, college kids, etc were doing some weird high shit by the masses.. Every time it was a bunch of white people or a white town.. As my mom always said this the real reason why white people don't want to live near us cause they don't want us to see how they really live.. Mom always use to say drugged up father, hoe ass wife, gay son, slutty drugged out daughter.. If you took all drugs away cacs will still find a way to get high.. Sniffing glue, paint fumes, etc..bunch of druggies

Definitely higher rates, but as you stated the system was putting a magnifying lens on us and turning a blind eye to them (ie... crack vs cocaine sentencing, societal treatment of "war on drugs" vs "opiod epidemic" and etc)
