Hey guys,

Most people don't listen to the radio these days, but for those that do please share the radio shows that you listen to.

One of my favorite stations is WBAI 99.5 in New York and on the web at wbai.org. And I listen to the following shows:

Talkback! with Hugh Hamilton from 3-5 Mon-Thu. The show deals with local, national, and international news. Hugh interviews a range of guests and on Thursdays listeners get a chance to call in.
I made a post about him here: http://www.bgol.us/board/showthread.php?p=10489363#post10489363

The Mother of all Talk shows
with George Galloway from 9-10 AM Wednesday morning. Galloway is well-known activist. On his show people call to talk about whatever is on their mind.

Economic Update on Saturdays from with Richard D. Wolf. Professor Wolf is a professor of economics and explains the economy. His brilliance lies in his ability to make the complex simple.

Another show is the Les Brown Show hosted by my favorite motivational speaker. The show takes place from 2-4PM on KFWB 980 News Talk in California and on the web http://tunein.com/radio/KFWB-NEWS-TALK-980-s32744/

Also I used to listen to Star & Bucwild...

There was a time I use to listen to Rush Limbaugh, and Neal Boortz. But it is only so much of their shit I could take. :smh:

Dave Ramsey - but they moved him from 3-6p to now 10p to 1am :smh:

I really do not listen to the radio.

I tune into the Elvis Duran Morning Show and The Steve Harvey Morning show only to hear the phone pranks, otherwise, fuck radio.

We have News/Talk 1380AM here in Atlanta, but you can never ever get a good signal :smh:

I agree he does his fair share of fear mongering. However people like him do occasionally uncover or expose real issues.

For all those that replied please name the radio station which broadcasts the show you listen to as well. So other people will know where to look for it. Thanks. And if you can provided bit of information about the content of the show.

I used to listen to Lardball before he lost his mind, his hearing, and got hooked on drugs.

Can't stand his ass now.

I listen to Jones on my Android. He can be alarmist and over the top at times, but he's been spot on with some of his observations on a number of issues.

I'm not sure I listened to them earlier this year, around May, when WRNB 107.9 FM was still 100.3 The Beat. But I guess they got let go. :(

And XM radio

Is there an radio app that has the Tom Joyner morning show.I would like to hear that again.I miss that show. They took him off the air here about 3-4 years ago for Rickey Smiley

I'm a talk radio junky and I started listening around the time Rush came out; so my listening format has been from a variety of syndicated programs like Dr Laura to the 2 Live Stews & Ike Newkirk on 680 the Fan but there has been one constant over the years (am 1070 WDIA). If you didn't know am 1070 WDIA was the 1st station in the nation formatted exclusively for the black audience now its ran by Clear Channel.

Until last week the WDIA lineup was the Bobby OJ fun morning show, the Bev Johnson show at noon, and the fun afternoon show with Jeff Lee & Gregg Peters. Well last week the station wiped out the afternoon show and Bev Johnson's noon show has been scaled back to 1 hour similar to what is being done to the 2 Live Stews on 680 which makes me feel like both programs will be off the air in a few years.

If you want to go back in time and hear the mentality of some southern black people from the 60's tune in to the Bobby OJ show on WDIA 9:45am eastern time. This type of show will continue to air but some of the other programs listed in this post are good programs and it's just a matter of time before they are gone, mark my words. We have seen it done on TV over the years and now it's time for radio.

I'm glad someone came up with this post because maybe I will be able to catch a few other radio programs that I didn't know about before they are gone forever.

Nothing but sports talk radio. If I'm near my home I'm listening to the Fan 105.7 (Baltimore and surrounding areas) If I'm closer to the DMV then I listen to the Fan 106.7 (D.C. MD and VA). That's it pretty much.

Thanks for the info I'll have to check that station out. Radio is underestimated, which is unfortunate, because people crave tv. I like to listen to WBAI from New York, it's a radio station run from donations which leads them to not have ads, which is nice. However like PBS they have a fundraiser event every so often
