What I predicted 6 years ago is coming true: Neymar Jr is the best footballer on the planet

You know what, I won’t clown Jozy. He’s dating a fellow black athlete (Sloane Stephens). Black love. :bravo:

this. dude is basically padding his stats over there

19 appearances
17 goals
11 assists

A. He has 6 goals and 4 assists in the Champions League, so it's not all against Caen, or St. Ettienne.

B. They've got R. Madrid coming up, so we'll see how he performs against top competition without Messi(or Iniesta and Busquests behind him as well.)

C. He was the arguably the best player during the South American WC qualifiers, and that a was pretty tough tournament.

It isn't just a case of big fish, small pond. We a get a chance to see him tested, and he still shines IMO. Now is the best yet, nope, but don't discredit the form he's been in for the last 12 months or so.

He is not padding his stats. He is doing what he was doing before he went to Barcelona where everything was
about Messi. He is now in a place where he has been given room to flourish, and his sublime skills are now
becoming manifest. I annointed that boy as the best, when as an 18 year old, he led Brazil to a sensational defeat
of the US in New York. The flair, the impeccable technique, the intelligence and knowledge, that little man
is a genius, and is doing more for PSG than Ronaldinho did when he was there. In the past Neymar was placed
on the left wing, where he flourished, but was constrained by the sideline. Now they've put him in the middle of
the field, and we are seeing his dazzling brilliance, as he ranges all over the field orchestrating everything....

Thank you... And remember where PSG would have been without him

can't be the best playing in France
That makes no sense; when Barca and Los Blancos are not playing each other, what
competition do they face? La Liga was, is, and will always be, a 2 team league, until
La Liga rework their revenue sharing formula more equitably.

Can you compare him with Roger Milla or Jurgen Klinsman, Miroslav Klose, Mario Balotelli, Thierry Henry, Edison Cavani, Didier Drogba,
or even the number 9 at your high school in Nigeria? He is nothing more than the best America has to offer, which at this time is not saying
too much...

i have to agrre with u on this one! but he gets a pass form me cos he with sloane !:D:yes: but yet im rooting for Neymar , i feel this is his time to shine or its never gonna happen!and if he does, he could really outdo messi & ronaldinho worldwide

Ronaldo, Messi, then

Ronaldo has Benzema, Rodriguez, etc and the best players Spanish money can buy. He is therefore able to pick his spots to dazzle.
Neymar is everything at PSG... He facilitates and finishes. Now we are seeing the brilliance of the boy as never before....I do not
believe PSG has lost at all since he arrived there;

Messi also benefits from the same conditions as Ronaldo, to say nothing of the fact that it has been amply
proved that he is a system player. Outside Barcelona system, his play has proved to be quite
pedestrian..

why is he not there yet?

Now that he is clearly the best player on a team, he needs a few silverware under his belt first - referring to UEFA CL. I give him a full season and with the WC coming up it will be interesting to see how he performs.

Ok fair enough... Though I am not sure how you can say this if he continues to play
with lousy teams

Don't know much about the sport, but it is fascinating in one aspect.

From everything I've been told, it is a much larger game, globally, than basketball - and the talent pool of potential prospects is a hell of a lot deeper. So, to separate yourself as one of the top 10 or so players in the world would be even harder than it'd be even in basketball. Especially considering you have academies that are searching for and training these kids from a young age.

It is not even close... Basketball is played only in America...Football is worldwide. The other thing
is that American sports
are expensive to play, requiring special surfaces, special equipment, and goal posts of certain
dimensions fixed at precise
heights, and balls that have very specific bouncing characteristics....This does not conduce well to
their popularity in countries
that are not wealthy..Football is as easy to play as a sport can get. Even the poorest of the poor
can play the game. They can take old books, socks, blankets, bundle them into a ball, and hold
it together with twine. Many of us played with such footballs, barefoot on dusty field, with goals
demarcated by rocks set apart according to an agreed distance. You cannot do that with any
American sport, and that is a tragedy///

I don't follow football, I just ran across an article that said that.
I went and looked after I read your comment, and apparently, there is talk of him moving
to Real Madrid, and Ronaldo is not happy. But why would he? He is the king of the kingdom
at PSG, and all the glory now accruing to that team is attributed to him. He is making a
mountain of money, which can do nothing but go up, with endorsements... He has the chance
he always wanted, to shine in his own right, to become the best player in football, and I think
he should take it. If he goes to Real Madrid, he will have to share the accolades of with the
other superstars on that team..
