WD live hub $100

wd players handle more types of files than the other $100 boxes.

if you could get xbmc and icefilms on here it would destroy all comp...but you cant.

This is a great deal for people who are stuck in the old days of downloading ,

Theres a 1 TB drive inside

Theres a 15 page thread that tells u what this does ,

what i meant was you said stuck in downloading. I was just trying to understand what you meant exactly. i have a wd live tv plus i just didn't understand the comment.

You dont need to download when u can stream from sites like icefilms

That's what i meant by old ways of downloading

Shit is sold out. :hmm:

I still cram to understand why folks stream instead of just downloading. The same amount of packets/bits are being downloaded to your pc/device/home, SO ITS COUNTED AGAINST YOUR MONTHLY DATA CAP/BILL FROM YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER . having said that once u download the content its YOURS vs having restream from whatever site again if u want to watch whatever again, hence again GOING AGAINST YOUR DATA PLAN CAP. Why pay twice when u can play just once. Something to think about fam.

pay?
i have unlimited bandwidth (knock on wood) and streaming is instant. downloading takes time. 75% of what i watch, i dont feel the need to keep.

if its a classic or something for the collection, i download it.

I disagree with you bro. Me and my fam look at some movies several times. I watched Rise of the Apes atleast 3 times so I prefer to have it on hand instead of streaming again. Not to mention I have 2 avid gamers in my house. So 2 PS3's and streaming all at the same time. Not gonna work for me. And I have UVERSE top of the line data package.

Does icefilms/Appletv stream in 1080p?

It downgrades 1080p to 720p

I would hold off on buying an apple tv now

It actually has the hardware of the iphone 4 A4 chip inside

The current iphone 4s has the A5

So you should wait for the new apple tv next month or early 2012 with A5 or A6 chip inside with 1080p

Im going to get it cause the current apple tv cant stream from icefilms/megaupload in 720p without skipping. Dvdrips play fine

But streaming from your computer if u have 1080p files works fine on the current apple tv

Saying that downloading is outdated. I hate disc (DVD, BluRay) because I don't like storing them. That's outdated to me. My preference is storing all my movies on a hard drive. I got my shit in categories by folder and can go directly to any movie in a matter of seconds. Over 600 gigs and mostly HD quality thanks to BGOL. No disc laying around or a cabinet or what have you with a shitload of movie cases. Streaming is fine but as I stated earlier it doesn't fit my case cause of the 2 niglets I live with. Actually I'm pissed that I slept on SmartTv's to eleviate the WD media player all together. So I think downloading is far from the old days my brother.
