It's the law. I can nurse my child with or without a cover,’ said Lucy Eades when asked to cover up for the sake of ‘decency’ by a manager at Burleson Recreation Center.

Video of the incident has gone viral, accumulating more than 300,000 views on YouTube.

Footage of a breast-feeding Texas mom being ordered to cover up has gone viral after she pulled no punches in telling her critic that her actions were well within the law.

Lucy Eades was left stunned last week when the manager of Burleson Recreation Center pulled her to one side and demanded she stop for the sake of "decency."

"It's like she was waiting on us or saw us for a distance, but as soon as we came in, she told me immediately that I needed to cover up or we needed to leave," Eades told WFAA.
The City of Burleson released a statement in support of breast-feeding after the incident.

The City of Burleson released a statement in support of breast-feeding after the incident.

The mom of four, who was waiting in the lobby for her eldest daughter to finish a dance class, soon engaged in a heated argument with the woman.

It ended when Eades, aware that in Texas it's legal for women to breast-feed in any public or private location, said: "It's the law. I can nurse my child with or without a cover."

The whole incident was caught on cellphone camera by Eades' husband, who uploaded the clip to YouTube. It has since been seen almost 300,000 times.

After the clip went viral, the City of Burleson released a statement that said it "supports breastfeeding."

"The city also supports the law, which states, 'A mother is entitled to breast-feed her baby in any location in which the mother is authorized to be,’" it added.

But it went on to argue that "there is nothing in the law that prohibits the city from requiring a mother to cover up."

Good grief, pop a scarf over yourself while youre breastfeeding. Maybe, my opinion will change when Im a mother but it just seem like these women that wanna pop a tit out wants attention.

Yes perhaps wait till you are a parent before placing such judgements. We have chicks walking around half naked literally next to nothing on but get annoyed when a mother is feeding her child.
Breast feeding mothers get it whether covered or not. Can be as discreet as you could possibly be but there is always one who tries to make it out to be the worse thing in the world that is happening.
:hmm:

why should the rest of the world be inconvenienced because you want to just willingly plop your titties out to feed the kid. use a blanket go somewhere less visual or something.

yes you have the right to feed your child but i have the right not to want to be witness to it

How exactly is the rest of the world inconvenienced?
