Egypt moves to seal Gaza border

Almost all of the illegal border entry points have now been closed
Egyptian security forces have begun intervening to try to stem the flow of Palestinians out of the Gaza Strip through its partly demolished border.
Riot police used water cannons against those still attempting to cross the border into Egypt, and announced it would be closed from 1500 (1300 GMT).
Hundreds of thousands have surged into Egypt to buy supplies since militants blew holes in the border on Wednesday.
Israel has demanded Egypt take action, as it is worried about arms smuggling.

No doubt Hamas brought on the Israelis closing of the Gaza/Israeli border, but by blowing a hole in the wall separating Gaza and Egypt, Hamas changes the whole dynamic of the conflict. Condi Rice urged Egypt to replug the gap, effectively allowing Israel to regain complete control over the area.
Hamas may decide to blow open another hole in the Egyptian barrier. If so, Egypt may take more forceful action in keeping the citizens of Gaza out. Even if this comes about, why is the US government once again sticking their jaw into a matter that doesn't directly concern them? This is a matter that should be handled regionally. Even if this all backfires on Israel
