TV: Shemar Moore stars in CBS new reboot SWAT dir. by Justin Lin ...THOUGHTS? UPDATE: CANCELED! RENEWED! CANCELLED!

True but they knew ALL THAT before they cancelled it in the first place.
probably not -
consider the reversal was this weekend during talks with Sony after $$ adjustments

this show had a real writers room doing 23 to 26 eps a season

my guess is season 7 will be shortened if the show is in fall or next spring

btw -I hear the other unions like directors etc won't cross the picket line this summer
and there are other collective bargaining contracts expiring soon

They HAD to know cripes were done etc before making a public announcement to cancel. They had been in negotiations for awhile. Everyone knew the strike was coming. Why announce it? It couldn't have been a leverage play. Especially the fees were already kept flat previously.

They could have settled on 13 episodes without all this drama.

But you might be right, you never know with these execs.
