Donald Trump on Friday threatened “death and destruction” if he’s criminally charged in New York — writing the shocking social media warning after posting an image of himself holding a baseball bat next to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s head.
“They are HUMAN SCUM!” the 76-year-old former president raged in one post asking why Bragg “refuses to do the right thing and ‘call it a day?’”
Trump is seeking a rematch against President Biden in 2024 and previously used heated language ahead of actual violence — most notoriously on Jan. 6, 2021, when he told thousands of supporters to march on the Capitol and “fight like hell” to prevent certification of Biden’s Electoral College win, which they proceeded to do by smashing into the building and battling with police.
Trump shared the image of himself holding a baseball bat — with Bragg’s hands up — on his Truth Social platform Thursday as he devoted his day to attacking the prosecutor for pursuing a case over the “hush money” payout to porn star Stormy Daniels. The bat image was pulled from an article that he shared but was not removed.
He kept on raging until the early hours of Friday with continued incendiary name-calling.

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former President of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting President in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a Crime, when it is known by all that NO Crime has been committed, & also known that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country?” he asked just after 1 a.m.
“Why & who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely [sic] hates the USA!”
He continued posting until 2 a.m. — then started again after 9 a.m., writing: “PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT!”

Former President Donald Trump accused Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg of being a “degenerate psychopath” who “hates the USA” on Truth Social.
His latest images — especially the baseball bat image — quickly sparked a Bronx cheer online, with few coming out to bat for him.
CNN legal analyst Norm Eisen tweeted that “threatening a prosecutor is a crime in NY. In fact MULTIPLE crimes.”
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, who testified for Trump’s defense during his first impeachment for pressuring Ukraine to investigate the Biden family, has repeatedly sought to warn the former president off threatening postings.

“[M]any of us have criticized the reported indictment as deeply flawed and politically motivated,” Turley tweeted Friday. “However, that will be addressed by the courts. The rule of law will be protected by the bench, not the bat, in our constitutional system.”
On Thursday, Turley blasted Trump for writing in all caps, “OUR COUNTRY IS BEING DESTROYED, AS THEY TELL US TO BE PEACEFUL!”
“Given the violence on 1/6 and riots in various cities, our leaders have to avoid reckless rhetoric,” Turley wrote. “Being peaceful is not just a legal obligation but a civic duty of citizens.”
Others called Trump “a violent, Pathological criminal” who is “dangerous, unhinged, and running free to incite violence in America.”

“Enough really is f–king enough,” one person told their more than 90,000 followers.
Former MSNBC host Keith Olberman tagged the Justice Department as he raged: “ARREST TRUMP NOW.”
He accused Trump of having “issued repeated stochastic terrorist calls for his cult to ‘remove’ the ‘animal’ Alvin Bragg – and use a baseball bat.

“He’s trying to get this man killed. Period. Enough,” he told his 1 million followers, comparing Trump’s bat image to “a movie murder scene” and part of a plot “as disgusting as Charles Manson.”
He called the former president “an active, mortal threat” to those investigating him “and all witnesses involved,” saying he must be immediately busted with “no perp walk, no bail.”

Trump first said last week that he expected to be arrested on Tuesday, which came and went without any word of charges. Instead, the grand jury was postponed on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Manhattan prosecutors have been presenting evidence to the grand jury since late January in connection with the $130,000 hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels shortly before Trump’s shocking victory over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, alleges she had an affair with Trump in 2006, which Trump has denied.
Former Trump lawyer and ex-con Michael Cohen alleges he made the payment at Trump’s direction. Bragg reportedly plans to charge the ex-president with falsifying business records for allegedly writing off the payment as “legal fees.”
The alleged offense would be a misdemeanor under state law, but Bragg wants to elevate it to a felony through an untested legal theory that would tie it to a violation of federal campaign finance rules, according to the Times.

If any regular American posted shit like that against a political person, the cops would be kicking in your front door with a no-knock warrant before close of business today.

And if you are Black, they will be carrying you out in a body bag.

The fact he is getting away for posting this tells you how screwed up the criminal justice system is in this country

Fake AI images of ‘Trump arrest’ hit internet

BY LAUREN SFORZA
03/22/23 01:47 PM ET

Fabricated images of former President Trump being arrested are circulating social media as the country prepares for his possible indictment this week.

The images, created using artificial intelligence software (AI), show what appears to be the a large group of New York City Police Department officers arresting the former president as he resists be detained. Some of the images that were posted on Twitter even depict Trump being forced to the ground, while another image shows him running away from the police officers.

The text in the images, like on the police officers’ uniform, is garbled — an indicator that they were fake.

Eliot Higgins, founder and creative director of investigative collective Bellingcat, first shared these images Monday on Twitter, and they have gained traction over the last several days.

He explained in a tweet that he used MidJourney V5 — an AI software that creates images from a written prompt — to form the images. That prompt that he used read “Donald Trump falling over while getting arrested. Fibonacci Spiral. News footage,” and it produced many of the images that were posted on Twitter.

Some users retweeted the photos without context, which could lead to misinformation spreading about Trump’s potential indictment. The New York City Police Department confirmed to the Associated Press on Tuesday that no arrest of Trump has been made.

Higgins told the Associated Press that the image of Trump being arrest “was really just casually showing both how good and bad Midjourney was at rendering real scenes,” and noted that one of the images featured Trump with three legs and a police belt.

“I had assumed that people would [realize] Donald Trump has two legs, not three, but that appears not to have stopped some people passing them off as genuine, which highlights that lack of critical thinking skills in our educational system,” he told the AP.

The New York grand jury investigating the potential indictment of Trump is no longer scheduled to meet Wednesday, according to multiple reports. The jury was tasked with looking into Trump’s role in a hush-money payment made to adult-film star Stormy Daniels to cover up an alleged affair between the two.

Trump said over the weekend that he expects to be arrested this week in relation to the investigation and has called for his supporters to protest his potential indictment.

Word on the street is his campaign rallies weren't producing jack shit so he needed to jumpstart the revenue stream. Remember this all started with HIM saying he was going to be arrested and calling for protests. At the same time, his websites were calling for increased donations.

This is the same old con we've seen a thousand times before.

Trump has a campaign rally scheduled for tomorrow at Waco, Texas.

He is doing on the anniversary date of the Branch Davidian siege that took place back in 1993.

Pretty obvious he is gonna make some crazy remarks tomorrow.

This guy.
As some of his allies are trying to rewrite January 6 as an afternoon stroll, Donald Trump is having none of it.
In the face of a possible criminal case in New York, he screamed that “death and destruction” would follow any indictment.

He hasn’t changed in the slightest.
There is no shame.
After riling up rioters, cheering for a coup, and agreeing that his vice president needed to be hanged, he’s back to making violent threats against fellow Americans.

But wait, you say.
This is a biased prosecution.
Trump has every right to be upset.

Not all Trumps are pumped about Donald’s arrest drama

We don’t disagree.
This is not a felony case, and Bragg trying to turn it into one is pure politics.
But rather than seek his vindication in the courtroom, or even just make an impassioned speech, Trump wants to inspire a mob.
Time and time again, Trump’s responses have been unhinged, indicative, and self-defeating.
And don’t buy for a second when he says he’s “fighting for you.”
If you actually “rose up” and were arrested, Trump would abandon you, just as he has every ally who wasn’t useful to him anymore.
What did he do for those locked up for months over Jan. 6?
What cash did he hand over for the candidates he endorsed in the recent midterm elections he torpedoed for Republicans?

Ever given Trump money?
If you stop, and even if you don’t, the angry pleas come fast and furious.
Don’t you care!?
How could you abandon him?
We understand voters who rallied to his cause because he vows to fight for them.

There is much wrong with the country.
And yes, it will take someone strong to wade through the thicket of Establishment opposition to change.
But Trump is not trying to make America a better place.
He’s not offering anyone apart from himself a better future.
He’s out for revenge.
This is how Trump has been spending his time since announcing his run for president.
Stewing in Mar-a-Lago.
No grievance is too small.
When he found out that Rihanna once criticized him, he took to Truth Social — multiple times! — to bellow how bad her Super Bowl halftime show was.

When Trump ran in 2016, he was an unknown entity.

Independents took a chance, wanting to break from the stagnant political machines that sought to anoint Hillary Clinton.
But he’s not a mystery anymore.
Americans know that Trump can’t stop himself from nursing piddling grudges and throwing out childish insults.
The emperor has no clothes.
Perhaps you don’t mind.
But there are plenty of middle-of-the-road voters who do.
They saw this behavior in 2020 and the 2022 midterms and said we need less anger and more hope.
