A military member's rights are VERY limited. Look up all the fuss over the military, law enforcement, and contractors who were caught up in the insurrection and see how it's viewed and handled.

You're going to see this at Ft. Drum, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Ft. Hood, and Ft. Bliss as well. This is no doubt an Airborne unit. They'll be among the first into any fray around the globe. I'll bet you they aren't given a choice based on that reason.
