Whats the problem? we are the ones addicted to oil. many in america dont drive hybrids, carpool or take significant steps to to make their homes the most energy efficient i.e. solar energy. things are starting to change a lil though. my home state offers 50% subsidies to go solar and that is what i am in the process of doing. even if u dont have the bucks to go that route, at least go to home depo and get the energy star appliances and lighting 4 ur crib.

i dunno about this Dubai...i saw that ABC special on it.. most natives there are quite against the urbanization of the area because they've been noticing a shift in their culture...they notice a lot more women there on the beaches who are wearing bathing suits and developers have been criticized for hiring mostly south east asians and indians to do the construction and they don't pay them shit. they also have more clubs there with all the drinking and late night partying which is obviously not what they normally do...i just think its a few successful businessmen who are selling their culture and their souls for money while the native folks cry out for not wanting all this shit there...i don't think it'll be too popular with americans anyway...that shit's too damn far, hot, and dusty...lol

I've been to Dubai 7 times and have invested in 4 condo-hotel units. My wife and I went on our honeymoon there and it's truly been a blast every time since then. I don't know about the gambling shit that dude was talking about because that and ANY DRUG except ALCHOHOL are major offenses. You can buy alcohol though fellas, so that wasn't a stretch. Also women are allowed to travel the streets alone there unlike most Arab nations. Burj al Arab. If you don't know, now you know. Check it out if you fellas get a chance.... Peace
