This Is It! Atlanta Restaurant forced to shut down | Eminent domain

I remember eating at that location years ago. It was decent food for the money.

However, I can understand why GA-DOT wants that land since I remember getting stuck in traffic at this location when trying to get on I-20 to go downtown Atlanta and trying to navigate traffic when going home from work. Traffic was a mess in both directions at this juncture.

I always found this is it to be over priced not trash but not the best. Big daddy's much fresher. Just an opinion.

I cook myself so hardly use restaurants anymore.

Eminent domain is always rough. Some interesting Supreme Court decisions on the matter.

i wonder how much money they giving them?

traffic was always bad on that part of I-20 during rush hour. Panola Rd. was my exit when i lived in Lithonia.

Right. They negotiated fair market value if they owned the land.

If they were leasing, maybe they bought out the lease and gave them some settlement money.
