IGN has a good breakdown.... The Anomaly was loud so I missed what was said.

The 100: Season 6 Ending Explained, The Anomaly, and What to Expect in Season 7+

And just like that, another season of The 100 has come to an end. This year’s Season 6 came with a healthy dose of mind control, a generous sampling of redemption, and your usual cliffhanger, leaving you utterly confused until next year. While a number of stories wrapped up, not everything was explained in full detail, with certain plotlines left hanging.

Continue reading for a breakdown of Season 6's ending and how it will affect Season 7, the now confirmed final season. Take note, the following will be a deep dive into some heavy SPOILERS so be wary if you are not caught up!

What Happened with the Anomaly?

Let’s jump right into the craziest aspect of the finale and the final moments of the season. During the fight in Sanctum, Gabriel noticed a pattern of symbols and letters on Octavia’s back after she was caught on fire and forced to remove her burning jacket. After all the fighting, Bellamy, Octavia, Echo, and Gabriel took a field trip to Gabriel’s outpost where he revealed a secret hatch and underground cave.

There they found a floating metallic sphere with spiral designs and the same type of pattern found on Octavia’s tattoo inscribed on its outside. Using the red symbols on Octavia’s newly found tattoo as a code, Gabriel was able to activate the sphere, causing the anomaly to expand. Back in the tent, Hope, Diyoza’s fully grown daughter, came in from the green light outside and went for a hug with Octavia. The two whispered a few things, Octavia was stabbed in the back, she vanished into a cloud of green smoke, and an unconscious Hope was left behind as the anomaly passed through. Cue Bellamy screaming at the air.

Okay, where do we begin?

Gabriel described the sphere as being thousands of years old. This means the creators of the sphere could not have been anyone from the Eligius Corporation as the first settlers arrived around 250 years prior. At first it might've seemed another group of humans somehow made their way to Sanctum even further back, but the appearance of Hope and events from earlier in the season suggest otherwise. Time travel seems to be the more obvious answer.

When Octavia’s arm was exposed to the temporal flare in a previous episode, it began to wither and grow old. After a failed attempt at a cure and realizing the anomaly was calling her, Octavia entered the anomaly alongside Diyoza. After mere seconds, Octavia returned with a cured arm and no recollection of what happened. As Gabriel suggested in the finale, Octavia likely spent a much longer time in the anomaly and is the reason why she recognized Hope in the tent.

The anomaly is a loud one and it was difficult to catch what everyone was saying towards the end. A quick transcript:

Octavia: She’s here. Diyoza? Hope!
Hope: I couldn’t get out of it. He has my mother. I’m so sorry Octavia.
Bellamy: Octavia, what’s happening?
Octavia: Be brave, and tell him it’s done.

Gabriel made it clear Octavia was the only one to enter the anomaly so there’s a good chance this mystery man who supposedly has Diyoza was someone who originally entered the anomaly. Throw in some time travel mumbo jumbo and the sphere gets its origin.

Status of the Primes

Keeping track of all thirteen Primes has been a season-long struggle and it’s only more confusing since a host dying does not necessarily mean their final end. Before heading into the next season, let’s take a look at the current status of all thirteen Primes at the end of Season 6.
  • Russell Lightbourne - Alive - Taken into custody by Wonkru.
  • Simone Lightbourne - Dead - Floated by Clarke. Host was Abby.
  • Josephine Lightbourne - Wiped - Mind wiped by Gabriel in 6x10.
  • Gabriel Santiago - Alive - With Bellamy, Echo, and Hope near the anomaly outpost.
  • Ryker Desai - Dead - Killed by Echo in 6x11. Mind Drive location unknown.
  • Priya Desai - Dead - Killed by angry mob in 6x12. Likely in Jordan’s possession.
  • Faye Lee - Wiped - Blank Mind Drive currently in Clarke.
  • Victor Lee - Wiped - Blank Mind Drive currently in Kane’s dead body, floating in space.
  • Daniel Lee - Wiped - Blank Mind Drive currently in Murphy.
  • Kaylee Lee - Wiped - Blank Mind Drive currently in Emori.
  • Miranda Mason - Dead - Floated by Clarke. Host was Gavin’s wife.
  • Jasmine Mason - Dead - Floated by Clarke. Host was Jade.
  • Caleb Mason - Dead - Floated by Clarke.
Next season will likely pick up Gabriel’s story where it left off and there’s a good chance we’ll see Russell as some kind of prisoner. Probably a good venue for Clarke’s grief? Outside those alive, the only other Prime that seems plausible to return is Priya as her Mind Drive is apparently in Jordan’s possession.

Is Abby Still Alive?
In the penultimate episode of the season, Abby was killed and made host for Simone, a revelation that traumatized Clarke and nearly blew her cover as Josephine. During tonight’s finale, any part of Abby, whether a possible link to her mind or her body, was taken out when Clarke opened the airlock release and sent Simone and three other primes out into space.

Before the finale aired, there was speculation that a part of Abby may still exist. Clarke’s mind was preserved thanks to the A.L.I.E's neural mesh when she took the Flame in the Season 3 finale. Abby was also chipped that season, meaning there was a possibility that her version of the code interacted with Simone’s Mind Drive, even though the EMP used to destroy the chip should have also removed the mesh. Those dreams and hopes were quickly crushed when Russell confirmed he checked for any remnants of the mesh before Abby was used as a host. Safe passage on your travels, Abby.

Is the Flame and Sheidheda Really Gone?
Ah, Sheidheda, our favorite one-dimensional villain with no purpose and no real reason to be included in this packed season. Regardless, Madi has been in control of the Flame all season and quickly lost control to Sheidheda, a previous Commander who intended to kill anyone that got in the way of him ruling the world. At the start of the finale, Raven was able to hook Madi into a computer and use Becca’s book to get past the AI’s security. While the goal was to isolate the commanders and simply delete the evil commander, Sheidheda managed to stop the process and create a kill code that would destroy the entire Flame. After agreeing and starting the process to download the Flame from the chip, Russell came in and interrupted the download.

Later, after Madi regained control and saved Clarke and her people, the process was started again while Sheidheda started killing Madi from within. The download supposedly completed, Sheidheda disappeared, and an error screen appeared on the monitor. To fully help Madi recover, what’s left of the Flame was manually removed from the back of Madi’s neck. Just when things seemed to be okay, the computer fired back up and completed the download.

So where did the Flame go? All we get are confused faces and not a single other mention in the rest of the episode. It’d be surprising to leave the Flame storyline in a weird state like this so it’s likely it will return in some fashion next season, probably when the “sleeping army” comes back into play. Has the Flame been uploaded to the mainframe of Eligius IV? I’d be scared of getting on that ship next season!

Where has Jordan Been?
Jordan has been missing ever since he risked his life protecting Priya and was stabbed by a revenge-seeking Madi. Since then, Jordan was absent from several episodes until he was discovered by the Earth crew in one of the palace rooms. There they found him in the process of being brainwashed to believe in the divinity of the Primes by drinking the “Blood of Sanctum” concoction. An “adjuster” was later discovered as the one leading the brainwashing.

After everyone returned to Sanctum after the Primes were defeated, Bellamy met up with Jordan who seemed to be back to normal. After declining to rejoin the group, Jordan decided to stay in Sanctum to help clean up after the battle. Ending their conversation on how Priya was killed and how Sanctum was once at peace, Jordan appeared to have some resentment towards Bellamy, all while the adjuster watched from behind. Jordan was later seen looking at a Mind Drive in his hand, presumably the Mind Drive of Priya that was likely salvaged after her death in the previous episode.

Will We See the Other Planets in Season 7?
The primes took over Eligius IV with a plan to travel to planet Beta, a journey that would take 20 years. Later in the episode, Russell also mentioned the planets Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon, which may not even be habitable. With Season 7 confirmed to be the last season with a total of 16 episodes, it would be surprising if any of these planets took a larger role when stories like the anomaly are being introduced. Perhaps it's something that’s being saved for the final moments of the show?

And HOLY SHIT... Stephen "Fucking" King is a fan of the show..

‘The 100’ Prequel: Iola Evans, Adain Bradley & Leo Howard Cast In CW Backdoor Pilot
iola-evans-adain-bradley-leo-howard.jpg

EXCLUSIVE: Iola Evans (Carnival Row), Adain Bradley (Riverdale) and Leo Howard (Why Women Kill) are the first to be cast in CW’s The 100 prequel backdoor pilot, from The 100 developer/executive producer/showrunner Jason Rothenberg.

Written by Rothenberg, the prequel is being developed as a planted spinoff and will be introduced in an episode from the upcoming seventh and final season of The 100.

The Untitled 100 Prequel is set 97 years before the events of the original series. It starts with the end of the world — a nuclear apocalypse that wipes out most of the human population on Earth — and follows a band of survivors on the ground as they learn to cope in a dangerous world while fighting to create a new and better society from the ashes of what came before.

Evans will play Callie. Whip-smart and passionate with a rebellious streak to boot, Callie has spent years ignoring expectations in order to fight for the causes in which she believes. But when the apocalypse devastates the world she had been working so hard to save, Callie must find a new purpose, and future, for all that remains of humanity.

Bradley will portray Reese. Hard-working and headstrong, Reese has spent a lifetime in fierce competition with his beloved sister, Callie. But when the opportunity to finally prove his worth comes with an incredible cost, Reese must figure out what lines he is willing to cross to finally come out on top.

Howard is August. A Rebellious and passionate musician, August is a member of a radical environmental group dedicated to saving the planet by any means necessary. After the apocalypse, he must figure out how to go on when everything he had been fighting for is gone.

Evans and Bradley have series-regular options to return if the pilot is picked up to series.

Rothenberg will executive produce with The 100 EP Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo of Alloy for The 100 producers, Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. TV and CBS Television Studios.

The 100 follows a group of post-apocalyptic survivors, largely a group of criminal adolescents. They are among the first people from a space habitat, the Ark, to return to Earth after a devastating nuclear apocalypse.

Evans trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She just played the lead role in the National Theatre’s workshop for The Ocean at the End of the Lane, based on the Neil Gaiman novel. On television she appeared in a recent guest role on Amazon’s Carnival Row opposite Orlando Bloom and Cara Delavigne, and last year on ITV’s Vera, opposite Brenda Blethyn. She’s repped by Circle of Confusion and Waring and McKenna in the UK.

Bradley most recently wrapped the leading role in Constantin Film’s upcoming feature Wrong Turn: The Foundation and next will be seen in the indie feature Butter, alongside Mira Sorvino. His other TV credits include recurring roles on the CW’s Riverdale, Netflix’s All About the Washingtons and CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful. He’s repped by Circle of Confusion, Gersh and Myman Greenspan.

Howard, a world-class martial artist, is known for incorporating his martial arts skills into his feature film and television roles, as Young Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, as Young Conan in Conan the Barbarian and as Jack on the Disney XD comedy series Kickin’ It. He appears in CBS All Access series Why Women Kill and in a recurring role on the CW’s Legacies. He’s repped by Paradigm, Randy James Management and Buchwald.

I still don't know how you do this without..

At some point... Becca is going to have to join the show full time. The rise of the First commander would be the only reason why I'd be interested.

The showrunner just said on Twitter that Covid has slowed them down on getting a trailer released.

Ok i was underwhelmed by the first 3, kinda predictable

Liked the adults more than the kids

The big twist(s) and deaths i saw coming a mile away

but that did not mean i was not yelling at the screen each and every time

Now episodes 4-5?

I'm strapped in to find out how in the holy hell they gonna resolve all this!?

I was sleeping

Now I'm woke.

Episode 4 is where it goes to a place that you didn't expect and it just gets better from there...

Season 1... Once you get through the first 3 episodes... Is one of the best season of Scifi that I've ever seen and it has a fantastic ending. Fucking fantastic..

Season 2 is universally labeled as a masterpiece.. I want say anything about it. Don't read spoilers.. don't check out the first pages of this thread. You have to experience Season 2 on you own.. Its a masterpiece..

Season 3 is good, but it takes a step back because a couple characters choices makes no gawd damn sense.. but the back half of Season 3 is fucking fantastic... Once a certain character gets back to normal. I think the showrunner got a little big headed with all the hype from Season 2 and got caught trying to do to much.

Season 4.... Is back to normal. The entire season feels like it is on a countdown and it also has one of my favorite Season endings.. Another Shocker..

Season 5.... Everything fucking changes and it ends with one of the greatest endings for a character in 100 history. It almost got me because I didn't see it coming at all.

Season 6.. Again Everything fucking changes... like Seriously... EVERYTHING fucking changes.... Season 6 is probably one of my favorite seasons because it was pure science fiction.

Also Raven is the best... that is all
