When he does he’s called sensitive, he can’t win.

nah, because he does it in a passive aggressive way

Just like this

He laughed at Mark Stein's report, but what about all the other shit, like wanting to be traded...being unhappy with the Nets over them not going to him...or wanting to go to Boston, Phoenix, Miami....

It's a lot of shit out there, but he comes out and talks about one part

As you know

I renounced this franchise long ago

However...

Yes the impending sale has been long rumored

Dolan has become obsessed with his legacy in NY.

And may finally do something I actually used to give him credit for not doing often

PLAY GM.

he messed up Melo deal and has hired suspect executives

And now apparently is getting involved in this trade.

NBA avoids scheduling regular-season games on Election Day

The league's schedule for the coming season will have all 30 teams playing on Nov. 7, the night before the midterm elections. The NBA is hoping teams use that night as an opportunity to encourage fans to get out and vote, plus amplify the need for civic engagement.

But on Nov. 8, which is Election Day, no NBA teams have games scheduled. Teams are being encouraged to share election information -- such as registration deadlines -- with their fan bases in the weeks leading up to Nov. 8.

A Pause To Vote
The NBA will not schedule any games for Election Day 2022 (Nov. 8). Here is how the NBA's schedule has look on Election Day since 2008:

DATE GAMES HELD
Nov. 8, 2022 None
Nov. 3, 2020 None (COVID)
Nov. 6, 2018 4 games
Nov. 8, 2016 6 games
Nov. 4, 2014 8 games
Nov. 6, 2012 3 games
Nov. 2, 2010 6 games*
Nov. 4, 2008 3 games

** A 7th game in 2010 was postponed

"The scheduling decision came out of the NBA family's focus on promoting nonpartisan civic engagement and encouraging fans to make a plan to vote during midterm elections," the league said Tuesday.

All 435 U.S. House seats will be up for grabs on Nov. 8, along with more than 30 U.S. Senate seats and gubernatorial races.

The move is a rarity for the league, which typically plays no games on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and tries to avoid scheduling games on the day of the NCAA men's basketball championship game -- often the first Monday of April. It also has a few days off built around the All-Star Game, which takes place in February.

The NBA and its players were openly involved in several election-related pushes in 2020, largely as part of the response after the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor reignited the quest to eliminate racial inequality and police brutality.

Many players, including LeBron James, were involved in voting registration drives and other get-out-the-vote initiatives. Some teams turned their arenas into registration or voting centers.

The NBA's full schedule for the season will be released at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday.

LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers agree to 2-year, $97.1 million extension that includes 3rd-year player option

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has agreed to a two-year, $97.1 million contract extension that includes a player option for the 2024-25 season, Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul told ESPN on Wednesday.

The extension, which includes a 15% trade kicker, makes James the highest-earning player in NBA history with $532 million in career guaranteed money, surpassing Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant.

James is ineligible for a no-trade clause because he agreed on an extension -- not a new deal. But the new contract's starting salary of $46.7 million, the 15% trade kicker and James' stature as one of history's great players likely make him a Laker for as long as he chooses.

James had been entering the final season of his contract (worth $44.5 million) and now joins All-Star Anthony Davis with the ability to negotiate new deals with the Lakers or become free agents in two seasons.

With the deal, the four-time NBA champion and MVP and 18-time All-Star eliminates concern that he could enter free agency next summer. Despite approaching 38 years old, James remains an All-NBA-level player and the centerpiece of the Lakers' contention hopes.

James is ineligible to be traded during the upcoming 2022-23 season because the second year of his extension exceeds a 5% raise.

The Lakers could have north of $20 million in salary-cap space in the 2023 offseason and would have the ability to sign a third max contract player in the 2024 offseason. The player options increase salary-cap space if players decline them, and yet remain on new deals.

James, who turns 38 on Dec. 30, is limited to signing a two-year extension because he will be 38 or older when his current deal expires, a rule in the league's collective bargaining agreement.

The Lakers missed the playoffs in 2022, despite James averaging 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists. Injuries limited James to 56 games.
