i'm not close with anyone from barbados but it seems counterintuitive that a carribbean cat would not f w hot sauce. one of my favorites is a scotch bonnet joint called calypso
Grits!!??

Cause as a Yankee/terrorist I put sugar and jelly in mine, so if you're adding garlic to yours, you're SCREWED!!!!! Them Southerners are gonna fcuk you up!!!
man grits don't count as cooking lol

i AM the southerners

It depends, really. If it’s collard greens, or Chitlins/pigs feet, you need Crystals because it gives you that vinegar flavor along with the heat.

If it’s fried chicken or fish, I might go with Texas Pete or Franks, because it doesn’t sog the skin up.

Collard greens are already supposed to have the vinegar flavor.

Ehhh..... now that you mentioned it, I remember as a kid hot sauce was kind of a big deal and peppers. I like to enjoy what I am eating. I do not like eating and my mouth us burning during or after.

All of them are too salty and not hot enough

Im in NJ and Hanks is local to me, so it is in every store, if you see it, grab a bottle you will love it.

Make your own. I do. Really easy, grow your own peppers, get a fermentation kit, fill that shit with 3 to 4% salt, your peppers and whatever else you like. Store in a cool place for about 2-3 weeks checking regularly. Drain and strain (keep some of the juice) blend it, strain again and store in the fridge.

Explain the love of hot sauce to me please.

Its like drinking single malt scotch for me. Some sauces pair better with different things.
Much like scotch, hot sauces have theyre own personality and taste pallet.
I enjoy hot shit just like I enjoy a glass of 18 year Mcallen.
Every sauce like ever scoth has a different flavor.

I'm gonna get this hot sauce to support this black owned business.
