The dresses don't make sense. My sense is that hey are probably trying to cover up legs to avoid sexualizing girls over a certain age and control the urges of they boys. Male hormones don't work like that tho. She can be in a hijab and still be sexualized.
But that's not what you said and a young impressionable mind will look at that clown statement you made and take that with them in life.I think you're nitpicking... If you are doing that on purposing, then I have nothing else to say.
If you are not, all I'm saying is this: be presentable. I don't think any of us would want our children to go to school wearing jeans with the crotch cut out (I'm being hyperbolic here just for an example). You can present yourself in a manner that will satisfy your inner creative drive without being a vulgarian.
I think most of the people here know exactly what I'm trying to say.
Brah I went to catholic school and people were still roasting the shit out of people. We had to wear Reebok classics and when they got worn, the toe area would crinkle and look wavy. Someone probably didn't get new sneakers over the summer, and on the first day I remember Dave in homeroom said dude sneakers look like Kit Kat bars. Even the teacher chuckled then called for order.in theory yes
but bullies will find a way
and shoes most of the time are not part of the dress requirement
It's so older men/women and little boys/girls don't get any perverted ideas (which they will anyway)i don't understand the no dresses part.
Bro I didn't even see your comment before typing mine out referencing the same shoes... hood life is the same wherever you are... Texas, Jersey, Cali... it's all the samePrivate school kids wear Jordan’s so if you show up in your XJ 900’s you still getting slapped in the head
I graduated in the early 2000s. That was the exact argument they used in Philadelphia.I remember they pushed this shit in nyc after my generation graduated from school.. think they pushed this for the k-8 graders around 2000. I remember getting kicked out my law class in highschool cause me and the Jew teacher got into a heated argument about this rule.. he was talking about dressing professional and getting ready for the work place.. than I hit him with what do construction workers wear? What about mta workers, plumbers, etc.. than he said some shit about bIzzness men and I hit him with what biz they actually own? They just employees with overpriced suits..if you don’t own your own company you a employee.. he got mad and there was back and forth, than the eventual get out.. I hit him with you wear bizz attire and you still got to depend on the board of Ed to write you a check employee
I'm not going to argue with you. Just from what you wrote above, you know exactly what I mean and meant. But that's not what you said and a young impressionable mind will look at that clown statement you made and take that with them in life.
I hear what you are saying but you can't advocate that people should be free to express themselves while also telling them how they should present based on what you personally think looks clownish or not presentable.
Not nit-picking but it's silly to follow up with what you said if you're serious about young people being able to wear what they want (obviously not ass shorts and under shirts.)
Kids will get bullied regardless of what they’re wearing. It’s just something people do. What a person wears does make them more of a target but it’s not stopping bullyingShould just have a proper dress code of polo shirts and pants like private schools do. Everybody wear the same shit. You're there to learn not to show out. Eliminates bullying for the kids that can't afford Jordan's, etc.
Why hoodies though? I think I already know the answer.
