Watching Marshall Faulk today on NFLN made me think. Every time a big name player retires he is offered a job as a talking head speaking on the sport that he played because since he is a star he should know more than anyone, right?

Too much but . . .

I'm not a baseball enthuse, it was actually was my first sport, but when I do catch some action, MLB Commentator Joe Morgan makes me very proud.

He's probably the best commentator I've heard, of any sport. Doug Collins is/was great as well out of studio.

Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and (when he's on) Chris Webber on TNT offer some of the best insight on the NBA...and they're funny...

Also - Clark Kellogg on College Basketball (especially during the NCAA Tournament), Tony Gwynn, Harold Reynolds (he could have been The Man at ESPN if he hadn't been fired), Joe Morgan, Jalen Rose, and Clyde Frazier

Up and coming - Marcellus Wiley, ESPN

Worst - I can't stand Tom Jackson, Reggie Miller, and Mike Golic...
