Police are investigating a substitute teacher after he was accused of assaulting an eighth grade student.
The boy told school officials the teacher, Brett Russell, slammed the student to the ground.
The whole thing was captured on video at Bernard Black Elementary.
The mother of the boy who was pushed said she was called at work, and told that the teacher body slammed her eighth grade son to the ground.
She said police investigated, but they did not arrest the teacher, and she wants to know why.
The student involved did not want to speak on camera, but he admitted that he called the teacher a racial slur before the take-down.
