Scott Steiner talking shit

I co-sign everything you typed. We needn't forget that prior coming to the WWE for the 2nd time Steiner only had one good match in the last 2 or 3 years (and that was a singles match against Booker T). Steiner had already deteriorated tremendously before facing HHH (add that to a fact that when he wrestled HHH he wasn't 100% healed). Plus, after Steiner healed he was still stinking up matches (a trend he continues to this day). The last good Steiner match I remember was about 10 years ago. Still, as a mouthpiece Steiner isn't falling off anytime soon. At this point I'd say he is better suited as a manager/enforcer. Let him get on the mic, punk out some wrestlers, belly to back suplex, pose, and then let wrestlers capable of having good matches that he represents pick up the pieces.

That's not true. Steiner had a great match with Goldberg and a few other good ones with DDP and others.

I saw them, I don't think either of those were particularly good. Not putridly bad, but nothing hitting at least the 3 star range either in my opinion (Outside of one of his matches against Booker T).

You're one of those Indy and Jap wrestling niggas. Those "I like workrate" dudes. Not me, I just like entertaining matches. Thats why a nigga like The Rock or Austin or HBK are the GOATs and a nigga like Boring Benoit is not. IMO.

Benoit put me to sleep 9/10 with some exceptions. His series with Booker was good, his match with Sullivan was the shit. Benoit had no character. I can't watch a wrestling match to watch niggas do moves. It's fake, I'll watch MMA. I like good characters and stories. And Benoit was boring.

Look at this fool arguing with himself.

You thought I was gonna come back with a counter statement huh? keep it moving brah don't nobody care about your opinion.

Obviously you do because you responded. Now go act like a female online to try and ock Jimmy again.

Scott Steiner is hilarious. It's just sad that he didn't get to make promos like this when he was in his prime physically. Maybe he just didn't have it then too.

Steiner was atrocious in wwe in his last run though. So bad he had me feeling bad for HHH having to carry him to one of the most brutal and boring matches I've ever seen in my life and I'm no HHH apologist. With that said he is right about HHH though to some degree. Steiner is a great especially when he was apart of the tag team with his bro.

Steiner shooting on Flair

well there you have it! you entitled to your opinion though

I can't stand that non-wrestling muthafucka. It was a joke seeing him in the Main Event Mafia (not that that faction/stable wasn't a joke itself).

--------

Rock's contract was ending Vince and his people never even once discussed an extension. The Rock wanted to still work for the WWF and Vince wouldn't even entertain it. So they cut the Rock. I felt that was cold. That was just one of many reasons why Vince ain't seeing my money. Only time is when I take the nephews out to see the live show. :smh:

I heard hhh was one of the main guys who felt the wwe didn't need rock anymore. I think hhh is the one who is jealous of rock's success outside of wrestling. I thought the rock had sold out until i found out the whole story.

Uh...or I just think a roided up Steiner who hardly does any of the moves that he use to pull off with ease doesn't "entertain" me. Either way, your call. And yeah, Benoit has had WAY more tight matches than Steiner has. To date, Benoit (RIP) has never been in a DUD match. Steiner has a number of those.

Here is something to fuck with your head, The Rock is my 2nd favorite wrestler ever, and HBK is my 10th favorite. So much for your theory. And yes, there are plenty of tight wrestlers in Japan (just because you don't watch it, doesn't mean it isn't true. Your favorite wrestler would also agree), and lots of talent in the indies scene. Here something else to fuck with your head further, many people in the indies can also "talk" on the mic AND work in ring.

Don't assume so much just because I'm exposed to all the wrestling you've seen and much more. It's possible to appreciate The Rock's great mic skills and Benoit's amazing wrestling.

That's a ridiculous argument. I guess you can't be "entertained" by movies either since you're all, "Man, fuck this shit, he ain't really get shot!"

Wrestling has LONG presented itself as athletic theater. That's one thing that goes across all countries, even when the presentation is different the ingredients remain the same.

All fans of wrestling recognize it as theater. Benoit told GREAT stories in the ring with his wrestling abilities. He didn't need to tell jokes and have catchphrases prior to hitting the ring. When you saw him beat HBK & HHH (which many STILL recognize among the best, if not the best, triple threat title match ever) at WM20 the story was CLEAR, as was the emotion.

Has anyone actually heard his RF Video shoot?

I just don't understand how there are alot of those shoots throughout youtube/dailymotion & no one has uploaded the shittalker himself Scott Steiner.

..oh shit, you my dude leroy but I gotta disagree with that one G...benoit was not boring, son was a beast, now dean milenko..that's another story.

see now you're wildin...dean malenko use to catch some wreck....the texas cloverleaf is one of the most brutal submissions of all time and son use to break out some wild holds that i used to copy hoping i would get a chance to use it in a real fight lol

i have to cosign this cuz i tell other wrestling fans all the time that at one point scott steiner was highly entertaining to watch in the ring....was crazy quick, strong, and agile...i had never seen a dude his size bust out the frankensteiners as well as he did his suplexes, power bombs, and piledrivers..steiner brothers matches up until the mid 90s were fun to watch...now scott is an interview goldmine yes but he doesn't have it anymore....its criminal watching a slow roided up scott who can barely do his moves and maneuver around the ring plus uses a fucking camel clutch as a finisher instead of his frankensteiner or steiner screwdriver:smh:..doesnt entertain me either

The Goldberg match was very good and stiff as hell. I enjoyed him with Booker and he's had some good tag matches in TNA. I really enjoyed his match with Petey Williams last year on ppv. He sold realistically for Williams and made it seem like Petey might win. He's done as far as a singles guy but as a tag and as MEM "enforcer", he's a good fit.

You're trippin' on Benoit though.

He can't do the Frankensteiner while the guy's running at him anymore. He still pulls out the top rope version for big shows to big pops at ppvs. Nobody, nobody, is taking the screwdriver from him. Dangerous move as it is but with a past-his-prime Scott Steiner, it's too dangerous.

C/S you know you're the shit when a move is named after you. I rarely hear anybody say hurricanrana but i still hear them call it the frankensteiner.

man i remember when him and his brother FIRST wrestled on tv back in the day...they had on those bright yellow college wrestling uniforms and people were laughing at them...

but when scott steiner broke out the frankensteiner and the whole crowd went NUTS!!

WCW folded and so did my love for wrestling...

:smh: They did boy wrong.

I can count the number of Benoit matches I've enjoyed on my hands. Steiner was putting great matches on for years IMO. Steiners/Doom series and Steiners/Luger and Sting are better than any Benoit match to me, except Jericho/Benoit ladder match in terms of enjoyability.

And fuck Benoit. RIP?

Nah, not even. I just enjoy the "entertainment" part more than the "sports".

Yeah, that match you listed was a great match, but that was because the STORY was can Benoit win the big match. That was a great STORY told OUTSIDE the ring that builtup and made that MATCH great. And it's not like Benoit gave good promos to help the build, it was the announcers. Benoit never learned how to tell good stories unlike Eddie.

It's interesting that the matches that you listed as "great" for Steiner was well over 10 years ago (and Steiner is still an active wrestler). Benoit has been putting on great matches since the early 90s up until his death (everyone, except perhaps you, can cite a number of great matches from Benoit EVERY year). Once you factor in his matches from Japan from the early 90s, your argument really falls apart in terms of body of great matches. Then again, I guess great wrestlers like Misawa/Tsuruta were also "boring" by your definition even though YOUR favorite wrestlers will tell you how great they were.

You: "Fuck those non-English non-promo cutting motherfuckers! Bring on the blown offense, catch phrases and poses!"

Exactly

Eddie is another one of my alltime favorites. There are all types of ways to tell a story in the match. It's not JUST about the announcers saying, "My God! He's worked so hard for this!"
or someone like HHH saying, "Your not on my level Benoit!" The story in the ring via the moves themselves/selling/come backs/etc is what made people like Benoit one of the best (which everyone, except you seem to recognize).

In any event, you're entitled to you opinion. I like many of the same wrestlers you do. But when wrestlers start blowing simple things like lariats, and the "best" parts of their matches is the shit talking beforehand, then I'm down for the mic parts, but I'll turn on the "bore-fests" of Benoit/Angle or Benoit/Sasuke matches for the in ring stuff.

Opinions are an interesting thing. Some people think Godfather is boring too so...

What's funny is Benoit would have been HUGE if he had debuted in the 70s due to his versatility and skill. Only in the aftereffect of McMahon's re-education of wrestling fans can people say a great wrestler like Benoit, who cut realistic promos without the laugh track, was boring.
