What happens to them.......remember growing up we could go to the plaza in Jackson mi and play all kinds of video games for like 25 cent or $1. Winn raffle tickets.....man with the invention of internet play that could make a come back

I remember em some of most fun I had.

Arcades were replaced by home gaming systems.

They also used to be in bowling alleys.

I guess the modern day version would be Chuck E Cheese and Dave N Busters

In Houston at some bar downtown on the first n last Friday of every month you pay like a $10 admission and you get unlimited access to their arcade games to play as much as you want. Lots of old school games in there. I lived on NBA Jam and killer instinct when I went a couple months back. But they had damn near every old school have imaginable and said they would be adding more when possible

They're slowly coming back

I'm just here so I don't get fined

you mean the ones that required 50 cents to play? i.e Dragons Lair, etc

They weren't that bad compared to the joints that had a timer and a count down because you had to add more money to continue to play.

-NBA Jams,Mortal Combat the car racing game, contra, gold game,That heticoper shooting game with the rollcage that moved but was some bullshit cause no matter how fast you turned that control stick that motherfucker never reacted on time.

I like the old school joint too pac-man,centipede,paper boy, tecmo bowl, donky kong,Micheal Jackson game.

there was a museum exhibit here in Phoenix once with a lot of retro arcade games that were set to free-play mode, the whole room was set up like a place you would go back in the day but what was taking me out of the"immersion" the few times i went was that they kept playing music from TODAY :smh::lol:

Galloping Ghosts Arcade in Brookfield, IL. Over 400+ arcade cabinets. Pay $15 admission and play from 11am-2am. Leave and come back within the hours of that day and come right back in with the receipt. The owner builds custom arcade machines 4 all the new fighting games. On the 17th of April, he has a custom arcade cabinet and a tournament going 4 MKX with the original cast from MK1 in the building.
